See what started it all and who the players will be when the conflcit engulfs the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool, Black Panther and more. Trust us, you won't want to miss it.

FANTASTIC FOUR #5 (1961)
The man in the iron mask cometh, and his name is Doom! Not content to merely control his very own country, Victor Von Doom wants the world to know his brilliance, and if that somehow leads to the death of Mister Fantastic, well that's two birds with one proverbial stone. Doom's plan to defeat the Fantastic Four belies an evil intellect far greater than Reed Richards and the FF have faced in their short time together. Marvel's first family will be pushed to the breaking point as they travel through time, evade countless death traps, and combat legions of Doom-bots; will everyone make it back alive? If you're looking for all the action you can possibly handle in a single issue, check this classic by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby out, Doctor's orders!

UNCANNY X-MEN #145
When you're an X-Man, even a night at the ballet can be fatal, as Storm unfortunately finds out after Arcade's henchwoman, Miss Locke, poisons her and Stevie Hunter. Apparently Arcade angered the malevolent dictator Doctor Doom and endured imprisonment by the maniacal monarch for his actions. Miss Locke wants the X-Men to save her boss, or else she'll let their loved ones loose in Murderworld. But with an assault on Doom's castle in Latveria tantamount to possible suicide, Professor X gathers two teams: one to rescue the hostages in Murderworld, the other will confront Doom. But there's more to this fight than meets the eye. Let's just hope the X-Men can survive long enough to figure out what it is!

BLACK PANTHER #19 (2005)
As King T'Challa and Queen Ororo's honeymoon draws to a close, they have one more destination on their itinerary: Latveria, the home of Victor Von Doom. An exotic locale to be sure, but one wonders what business the two newlyweds have in the castle of one of the world's most notorious men. However, it seems that Doom only wants to talk politics, inviting the King to ally himself with Latveria against the ever-increasing volatility of the United States' Civil War. Needless to say the Black Panther's answer doesn't please the devious dictator and soon T'Challa and Storm find themselves fighting for their lives against an army of Doom-bots. Here's to hoping their honeymoon and lives aren't cut short in Latveria!

BLACK PANTHER #1 (2008)
T'Challa, the Black Panther, always seems to have the most dire situations well in hand, as he generally plans for them ahead of time. Skrull invasion? He had a contingency for that. Galactus wants to eat the Earth? He's got something in place for that too. But what happens when the sovereign and spiritual ruler of Wakanda meets with the most ruthless ruler of them all, the infamous Victor Von Doom, on the latter's home turf? The claws come out, energy blasts scorch the air and Doom sends the king home packing, one foot in a bodybag. With T'Challa in a coma and Wakanda without a Black Panther, who will rise to take his place? You'll have to read this issue to find out!

BLACK PANTHER #2 (2008)
After delivering a severe beating to the Black Panther, Doctor Doom swears to erase Wakanda from the world; unfortunately for the Wakandans, Doom tends to be a man of his word. With their champion injured and the cowl of the Black Panther empty, what hope does the proud nation have? Queen Ororo refuses to accept defeat and decides that a new Panther must be chosen to defend against invaders and it looks as though she won't have to look far for T'Challa's replacement. As Wakanda prepares for the inevitable storm that looms over the horizon, Shuri, T'Challa's sister, prepares for what will very likely be the defining moment of her entire life!
