Oh, I also agree tone down with Wolverine and the Deadpool. I was about to commit suicide with all those DeadPool Variant covers and showing up in every storyline...Hey I love some Wade Wilson. Who's with me that someone needs to go thru time and save/bring back Askani's son.....RETURN CABLE/AND THanks for Bringing Back FRANK CASTLE...IF YOU DONT LIKE CASTLE THEN YOU ARE LAME!

I'm always a little behind because I like to read in complete story arcs, but I'm definitely looking forward to Wolverine Goes to Hell. I was skeptical, but Aaron did a hell of a job on Weapon X and I was skeptical of that as well, so I figured I'd pick up the first six and see.Planet Hulk was the ish. I picked up every Skaar book after that because of it. But WWH was wack, and then all the Son of Hulk and Skaar stuff went in too many directions and made us invest in all the Red-Hulk business that Loeb was doing, so I dropped it.What do you think will happen to Cosmic Marvel once Abnett and Lanning move into Heroes for Hire? Will they continue to make Cosmic books? More than likely, Marvel knows there's a market there. Will they be worth picking up? Less than likely. There's no more GOTG title, no more Nova title, books that were consistently great but got cancelled anyway. One of Marvel's tactics is to take titles with a cult following and cross-pollinate them with titles with guaranteed selling power. They think it reinforces our fervour, but it also dilutes what initially made a character so compelling. Just look at this teaser image: Secret Avengers and Young Allies fighting Onslaught. How can anyone hear those words and not immediately picture the conference room it was cracked up in. It's so transparently formulaic.

Man you sure as heck got alot to say. I bet your cell phone minutes are all used up. Anyway, like I said before Onslaught and his first coming was the ish, there hadnt been a threat like that in the X universe ever. That was in the 90' so I dont know about the Onslaught rebirth, I heard that was lame. Also if you read the first Onslaught story Mag's would not be needed again to stir that darkness back in Xavier. He got some Dark stuff inside him already. (Xavier Protocols) Remember that? Oh yeah and maybe you were too old cause I know Planet Hulk & WWH was awesome. I give you this, I was dissapointed with Dark X-men cause how in the h377 is Norman Osborn going to defeat Nate Grey? Why tease us with Nate Grey to only make him fizzle away...Lame. I do agree the cross overs are a little much. Hey that Wolverine goes to hell is looking really good, you should be reading that. Thanos imperative 10 out of 10. What about that Secret Avengers did they kick Nova out or something? How come Nova isn't warning Earth about this crazy cancerverse thats spreading and I would think that would be the number one threat. He's looking for a Nick Fury wannabe.

Onslaught was wack because it was a trumped up attempt at killing everything ever in a lame 90s way. CAN they do it better this time? A) WHY would they bring him back? B) HOW could they bring him back? X and Mags aren't even in a inner-turmoil-'bout-to-boil-over type state. The answer to how is in the why, and that's because it'll stir things up and it doesn't matter how.Maybe I was too old when I read Onslaught, maybe it just wasn't for me. After all, I liked Planet Hulk but not WWH. I liked Secret Infiltration, but Secret Invasion wasn't well executed. I love those DDs from the Bendis run, the entire Captain America Brubaker run, the Straczynski Thor reboot, the Fraction Iron-Man and Iron-Fist, and Aaron's short-lived Wolverine: Weapon X. All books that are to a large extent self-contained. X-books are a bit different because they're so hard to divorce from one another, but the editors really make it seamless, but Dark X-Men and X-Utopia were weak.Look at the incredible surge of cosmic books in the last few years: from Drax to Thanos Imperative, practically every issue is solid. Why? The consistent vision of the solidified Abnett and Lanning team. I haven't even bothered with Chaos War 'cause I know it won't cause a skip in the continuity of the titles that I collect even though a tonne of characters overlap, same thing with Doom War.All's I'm saying is: the level of talent Marvel has stockpiled is enough to sell the books themselves. Unnecessary gimmicks and crossover events don't improve the Marvel standard, and won't make people pick up a title for more than an issue or two.As for the Marvel/Image/DC deconstruction; I'm a huge Marvel fan, born and bred, through and through. Never even really got into DC, but I know fans that tell me I'm missing out heavy. So I guess I can't really speak on that. I CAN say that, and I guess this is a response to KUMA-NIN, Image is changing the way comics are written and read, DC knows this, Marvel is catching on. Creator-owned books have something that the MU and DCU lack and that's integral focus. The Walking Dead is the brainchild of a genius and no one would have it adulterated and there are other really great Image books that are pulled off with equal class, just less longevity. The Luna Brothers': Girls or The Sword, and time will tell on Turf, Morning Glories, Haunt, Vikings etc, though they have been met with heaps of praise. If you pick up Locke & Key, on IGN, or any of the Criminal pulps, you'll see why creator-owned is the format that can make a fan out of anyone.

squirrel, I have been reading comics since the 1980s. And I am questioning all logic in your complaint. With Image, I have not seen any real praise like "The Walking Dead" is getting. Their other titles had some praise, but are now ones you'll find in a bargain bin these days. Marvel is trying to avoid this. With DC Comics, their only real solid investment is "controversy." Because look how long it took them to create a solid Green Lantern title, as well as how they are handling their other characters. It's like they are trying to have fans focus on one series or another while giving excuses to why others need to be changed. And Marvel? I met one of their editors and can say that they love these characters. I also bet you that they would say that they cannot go back to their 1980s works and are trying to avoid their 1990s mistakes. So with this event, I think their second attempt will be a lot better than their first... Especially with a new roster that is worthy of being part of Marvel. But, then again... I have found the new X-Men, X-23, Avengers, and Wolverine titles to be very solid. And with possible revelations, I think we may have a chance to see stories that bring the 1980s Marvel works be given a 21st Century spin. And for me, that is what has made me return to Marvel.

OhmyGod Onslaught was beyond wack. I really hope this isn't a serious attempt at a new crossover event that will undoubtedly leave fans and new readers unsatisfied. JUST MAKE GOOD BOOKS. These gimmicks won't win you readers, especially the long-term ones that are invested in good characters and good writing. How many fans out there just wish they could read their books with relative, suspended disbelief, isolation from all the other great Marvel books. We read DD for gritty street stories, X-Men for X-(read Human, albeit ironically, Human)-stories, Avengers for Cosmic Stories and the same thing for Hulk, Heroes for Hire, Iron-Man, Spider-Man, and all that.Onslaught is the epitome of everything that holds Marvel back from itself.Image is great cause every book has the integrity that creator-owned books refuse to relinquish, but lacks the interwoven heritage that Marvel has; DC has a solid investment in characters, but lack that element that of humanity that is so flawed and so universal it draws readers in without the deep back-story investment; Marvel, you have the writers with integrity and the characters with depth; YOUR BOOKS SELL THEMSELVES! Multi-level crossovers are not good story telling, the writers don't want to write them, the readers don't want to read them, the neurotic collectors HATE that they "have" (yes we feel as though we're obligated) to collect them.Is it just me, Marvel fans, let me know. Who wants to read their books within the peace of that story-level (be it street, planet, or cosmos) and when it comes to Infinity-Gauntlet level events we can actually get excited, and not just disillusioned and discouraged. Am I right?

Onslaught is back?! That is so cool!! I wonder if this is an arc for next years event. Even though Marvel said that they wouldn't have an event that would effect every one in the MU for years to come, I wouldn't be surprised if they were lying about that.

No seems to about Allies being axed. Issue #6 is the official last issue now. Anyway, as long as Firestar and Gravity are the only Young Allies involved in this I'm fine with it.

Secret Avengers/Young Allies crossover? I hope so given the Allies seem to have been axed as a standalone and these are two of my favourite teams.

Not looking forward to this . Onslaught, in any form, was an unholy nightmare. The whole year after that was terrible too.
