[quote@bds197485 Thor sounds like he's not up to his game. In Siege #1, Thor just scraped through the fight with the Dark Avenger. Now he's fighting the Mighty Avengers now. He sounds green under the gills a little bit. Probably a skrull.[/quote] FYI, this would appear to be set after Thor returned from Latveria and before actually entering the battle during Siege. May not include a lead up to him casting his attention back to Asgard, or even him verifying Loki's in league with Osborn, but it would be the setting right before he sees the place attacked, rushes in, then gets his temporary smack-down. Likewise, it would predate the MA team journeying to Asgard to face the Thunderbolts.

This seems a very big departure from the tone of Thor and Loki's activities that, even for it being a Mighty Avengers issue, I hoped some of this lead up was in someone's head or something as I read it. I hope the very next page consists of the group sitting down for some coffee/mead/what-have-you and discussing why they have Loki bound. 'Cause, short of Loki manipulating Thor's perception of his enemies (like he did with Bor, so it'd've brought it full circle) it sucks that 'they'd' expect us to accept a Thor/MA fight over holding Loki captive....unfortunately, all the preamble about him being bound to him as an Asgardian and as his half-brother probably means this will be the (weak) premise to having to defend Loki against forces for good. Here I was hoping any such confrontation would consist of Thor figuring out Bor was manipulated by Loki to be that enraged, and here we are presented with an opportunity for him to be in the same place while they (Mighty A) confront him about the SW impersonation thing....but since this is all 'set in stone' by this all having been written, drawn, published, etc. it's not like it could be pulled for the encouragement of a better/more realistic path to this 'meeting' between them and Thor. Hopefully though, when they get around to reintroducing Scarlet Witch, maybe they can be encouraged to make [to have been] Chthon an influence behind her descent to madness and subsequent damage to the Avengers and mutant communities. -- sounds like good mini material too, especially with the opening to Pym's MA series serving as the warm up to Chthon actually appearing.
