UNCANNY X-FORCE is revealed in X-MEN: SECOND COMING #2 art by Greg Land
Wolverine
"His philosophy on dealing with the threats that face mutants, and the Marvel Universe in general, diverge from those of most other heroes. He and the members of X-Force have each been twisted, programmed and manipulated by unpleasant people. They struggle to overcome their past, yet they accept that they are killers, each capable of the hard resolutions. They are stained, so it falls on their shoulders to do the ugly yet necessary jobs, to take out bad people who've earned such severe methodology. Wolverine and his co-captain Warren see eye-to-eye on the need for X-Force, and the need to keep it a secret."

Fantomex
"Weapon XIII was created by Weapon Plus to be the devil-may-care, international, super spy with a worldly distingué that the ladies love; the kid-friendly super hero face that would help the public digest his new band of Sentinels and their intended mutant genocide. Something went wrong, he escaped and has instead served to aid mutants and humanity. Described as a 'maze of mirrors,' he is unknowable, perhaps even to himself. Misdirection is his primary trick; he has a couple brains, maybe one is misdirecting the other. Wolverine thinks he steals to keep his mind off what Weapon Plus made him for: killing. He is a man without a purpose, he hopes X-Force will give him some."

Deadpool
"In it for Warren's money. So he'd tell you."

Archangel
"Warren and Logan serve as co-captains with the understanding that when you set out to kill a man you should have a sounding board; two heads are better than one and a good idea in assuring that the target is absolutely deserving of X-Force's severe brand of settlement. Warren has philosophically begun to diverge from [Cyclops] and the X-Men; he still believes in Xavier's dream of integration as a feasible reality, but he has some very different ideas on the means. Warren is struggling with something inside, some other thing. The Uncanny X-Force's first adventure won't be easy on him. No. It might be bad."

Psylocke
"Betsy is conflicted. Her mind splintered and repaired, her life ended and renewed, and just in time to watch what is seemingly the end of days for mutantkind. She has been doing some deep soul searching within the team's new base, Cavern-X, and spending much time mediating on the severe turn her life and mind have taken since entering the Siege Perilous. She's looking for a way to reconnect with some part of who she was while using the abilities she has to save the world, and other mutants, more pain."

I don`t see why to buy this now. I liked the old team. Sure, Deadpool is nice but that`s it. There was an arc with Wolverine and Domino, they shoot, they &@*$@&%& and now the whole group changed? Even the logic is gone here. Sorry it`s to weird and annoying. Domino is not the most present character, the series was good for her and now everything starts at 0 again. There you just got a scene where the whole team is beating the $*$*!&$$ out of the enemy and then a few pages later just Archangel is left? Ohhhh jeah after enjoying a ride with my most favorite character Domino I really want to see that - not.

X-23 is getting her own series and warpath already got his revenge. Thier stories are done to open way for a new set of stories. yea they were great on the team but they were really loners only along for the ride because they had missions

      1. Deadpool's been around nearly 30 years. And if he belongs on any team, it's X-Force. I was rather disappointed X-23 wasn't in this- X-23 vs. Deadpool is my dream fight. They both suffer from Justanotherwolverine Syndrome.

I agree with 1LeftBehind, why reboot an existing series when there's no need. My understanding is that issue #1 comics always sell more than issue #42 for example so it's probably a money thing, but it's also a good excuse to shake things up and introduce new readers to character's they might not normally read. I'll still be reading X-Force when it comes out but I would prefer to keep the original numbering, maybe they'll do an X-Factor later in the year and suddenly change all the new numbering back to the old system and suddenly we'll get issue #236 or something!

I guessed all of these characters would be in the new X-Force, although I'm not keen on Deadpool or Fantomex. Like a lot of other posts I'm getting sick of seeing Deadpool in every book going and Fantomex is just a lame Grant Morrison character, so uninspired. I was really hoping this team would be made up of previous Horsemen like Archangel, Wolverine, Gambit, Sunfire maybe even a reanimated Caliban all of whom would have some beef with Apocalypse for the first arc. Guess I was wrong unless they make an appearance later. Still it's good to have Psylocke in a more prominent role again even if I have to overlook the inclusion of guns over superpowers.

What do you mean Betsy's not a killer? She was reprogrammed by Mandarin and the Hand to be a ninja assassin. If anything, it's a shame that that aspect of her has been forgotten of late.

Oh almost forgot someone earlier metioned Sunfire he would be an awesome addition,Good Call

if you ask me it's a good fit, wolverine and deadpool, two psychos of killing mass destruction who can't be killed, warren is now a complete monster, fantomex was born to steal and kill and psylocke is a telepath with a sword who once took out a guys eye so i think alone they can handle him while the x-men fight vampires

Love it! team needs some muscle bring back Warpath. Psylockes stealth(shes a ninja) will help & here telepathy.Glad to see X23 gone shes such a wolvie rip off(I hate clones).I can live with Deadpool but he is being over played MARVEL!They should add Forge as the armorey & maybe bring in Wildchild. I must say I dont know much about Fantomex but I like em.

Wow, there sure are a lot of Weapon flunkies. You have Wolverine (X), Fantomex (XIII), and Deadpool (possibly XI).

This is sort of a plesant surprise. Frankly, I don't care that much that Deadpool is on the X-Force team, because his over exposure seems to be going down just a tiny bit over the past two months. I think the same thing is applying to Wolverine too. But then again, I don't buy any titles that have him in it these days.

The new X-Force needs more operatives, and muscle like Warpath.Without more men I really doubt they can defeat Apocalipse.Pease join more nice characters

What bothers me is that DP is in everything... thats just wrong. He's becoming the new Wolverine.Psylocke? Never imagined her as a killer... true she is not a saint like for example Wolfsbane was but still... she doesn't quite fit with X-force... she's a telepath! And telekinetic... her powers don't quite fit.I guess I can't be happy with X-23 and Warpath out. Warpath might have good reasons tho... But X? She's like... so fun...And Domino and Wolverine where a cool couple to explore... guess not now...

I wish Gambit and Sunfire were on this team. Especially with Apocalypse involved.

agreed.. deadpool's not the bad*ss killer anymore, he's the crazy, comedic, sell out poster boy.. dunno about him in this team. but yeah.. no x-23 and domino??? were they killed?

Honestly: Deadpool? I'm sick to the back teeth of Deadpool. Almost anyone from Pixie upwards would have been a better choice. And him and Fantomex are really similar black humour, no morals type of characters, who needs two of them? Where's the balance? The beauty of the old team was that it combined absolute filth like Vanisher with relatively innocent and 'good' characters like Elixir or Wolfsbane. Now we have two 'killing is funny' people and two messed up 'I don't know who I am' people. Lead by a feral-killer-turned-father-figure who's been a bit of both. I was really looking forward to this book, now don't think I'll bother. Not while Deadpool's in it anyway.

This will be interesting to see if it can be successfully pulled off. A comic with all these high profile characters. I'm surprised Spidey's not in it. I hope it keeps my attention and is entertaining. I guess we'll see in October.

I love Psylocke there, and well I think gambit could be there as well.
