What's worse than a fearsome faction of Iron Man's most ferocious foes?

Germs, of course!

That's why Iron Man and Ace Clean, a super hero created by The Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE), are taking the fight to Times Square to help kids learn that fighting germs is just as important as fighting super villains.

On October 1, the two germ-fighting journeymen of justice team up with The Association for Professionals in Infection Control & Epidemiology (APIC) to host a hand washing demonstration live from Times Square that will be broadcast on the Reuters and NASDAQ video billboards in Times Square.

For all the "Iron Man 2" fans out there, trailers from the recently Blu-ray and DVD release of the film will be shown as well.

As part of the event, Ace Clean will be showcasing a free interactive game on www.stopgerms.org that features a fun trivia contest about the history of cleaning and fighting germs.

"Cleanliness promotes good health. Yet each year, because of a simple lack of knowledge, people of all ages unwittingly come in contact with disease causing pathogens and risk illness a result," said Colleen Creighton, Executive Director of ACE. "Even worse, they can transmit germs to loved ones in their homes, to others in the workplace and at school, and to others in the community."

New York school children will get a special gift! Midtown Comics is helping to distribute more than 90,000 comic book-style book covers featuring the indomitable Iron Man and antiseptic Ace Clean as well as germ fighting tips from APIC and www.stopgerms.org. with many NYC schools receiving direct distribution through Marvel's In School Network.

With help from these colossuses of cleanliness, Iron Man and Ace Clean, ACE is urging participants to use www.stopgerms.org as a valuable resource for "responsible and beneficial use of products to ensure a safer, healthier and cleaner environment in homes, businesses and the community."
