I agree. I'm getting tired of everyone always going on and on about Jean. She's dead and there are a hundred other amazing characters to help you move on.

haha, being the first x-woman doesn't make you iconic. it makes you old. and marvel keeps bringing her up cuz she makes more moneny as a memory than anything else. she would become even more of a joke if marvel brough he back and didn't know how to write her. its the fans fault. being greedy. she's dead, move on. and she's not the phoenix. her "persona" drove the real phoenix insane. it's never been the same ever since. I love the x-men. they hae some of the best stories. make mine marvel....oh and Jean Grey was a &%@$!!!!

sorry but Jean is NOT the phoenix. haha. no matter how many times they try to fix their mistske and write that she "has become one with the phoenix"...honestly as much as i love jean she should have always stayed DEAD. she had one o the best stories ever. and they f*cked wit it. now she's more of a joke. and as for hope...oh jeez. i love the x-men but seriously. so sad. move forward peeps. claremont had the right idea. have them grow up and move on. Marvel is gonna do what DC has done for soo many years, their characters don't evolve. not change powersets or take up another mantle, but ACTUALLY mature. ugh. make mine marvel...i suppose. but this can't last.

I'm so disappointed with the way the Hope/Jean connection was clarified with the flat out "Jean Grey is dead." How could you use a character like Hope who looks and acts like Jean complete with Phoenix Force access and NOT have it be Jean? You could have made Hope look completely different and given her a different non-Phoenix color scheme, but you did because all you guys care about is using the Phoenix without Jean. But Jean IS the Phoenix and nobody else can take her place. Why is it so difficult to bring an iconic character like Jean back into the mainstream? She doesn't HAVE to be with the X-Men if you're so worried about destroying Scott and Emma's relationship. Why not put her on the Avengers roster with other characters who have godly abilities? She'd fit right in. It just annoyed me how you could have all of these all too similar connections between Hope and Jean only to say it's not Jean.

I need more PIXIE information. And can you tell me why there is such a blatant disregard to proper costuming canon re: heeled boots?

I just wanted to say that I am also a huge, huge Jean Grey fan and that I feel she absolutely needs to return to the comics. Jean is also a character that I grew up reading and she is the reason why I become an X-Men fan. Jean has been gone for seven years now, and since then there have been tease on her return with no outcome out of it--for me as well as all the other Jean fans out there, feel cheated. I don't understand why you would keep one of your golden characters down, it's not the same without her, it's not fully the X-Men without her. Bring her back and put her with the Avengers, I'm sure she'd thrive on that team. You can bring about as many redheaded, green eyed, fire powered girls you want, but they will never compare or ever replace Jean Grey. Please, please bring her back.

Hello Marvel,I just want to say that I'm very happy that Cyclops is now getting more screen time in the comics. But it would be really awesome if you guys give Cyclops some Crossover battles or Team-ups with Daredevil, Punisher, Hawk Eye, Hulk, Captain America etc.

I actually went to my comic shop yesterday to pick up the Marvel Girl one-shot (The Jean Grey one-shot), and they were sold out. Hmmmmm, looks like Jean still sells quite well. I think the Marvel editors need to go back to 2005 and see how well Phoenix Endsong sold compared to 2006's Warsong. It's funny because it was written by the same writer, only Jean was in one of the limited series and not the other. I do believe her poster based of Endsong #1 even sold out (which I still have hanging in my office). I think they need to know that trying to write a Phoenix story without Jean Grey (even know it was finally stated the two are one and the same; see Endsong #5) does not work. We want out Jean back.

At this point I wonder what the Jean fans can actually do (without crawling on our knees or bending backwards). Esp if they want our money, having her back would at least help sell the x books even more.

For God's Sake, Marvel really wants to FAIL. How can you guys let a char like Jean Grey, one of the first X-Men, remain dead, even more when she IS THE PHOENIX, the one who rises from the ashes? I'm really sad with Marvel after this and I lost all my interest on it. I'll only buy X-Men comics again when I am sure: Jean Grey is BACK. And that's what you guys need to do. Fans really want it.

She is. I think Jean Grey has been pulling the strings in regards to Hope since Messiah Complex.

I don't see how they could consider Jean Grey "dead" for the following reasons below:1. X-Men Origins-Jean Grey: If Marvel wanted her to remain "dead," then why put out an origins issue, if she now has no relevance? Obviously she still does.2. The Sisterhood arc: Jean made a brief cameo here. She saved Emma from Lady Masterminds illusions and told her to "prepare" (which I believe was Second Coming). If Marvel wanted her to remain "dead," then why have her appear at all?3. Emma remembers Jean's message: When Emma Frost saw the Phoenix raptor manifest around Hope, Hope gave her a smirk and in the next panel, you see Jean saying "Well then little spirit, prepare." I've heard from different people that say for that one moment, Hope took on the appearance of Jean and that was Jean's way of saying, I'm still around. This allows me to stick to my theory about Hope being an actual piece of Jean Grey/Phoenix herself.4. Marvel saying Jean's return is being discussed, but a story not to rush: I swear I read somewhere that Marvel said this, that Jean was being discussed of her coming back, but they don't want to rush it.5. Marvel vs. Capcom 3: again, if Marvel wanted her to remain "dead," then why have her in this game at all? Marvel knows she's a popular character with a huge fan base. Lots of people (myself included) where thrilled to hear she was in this game, and she's amazing in it. 6. Age of X: Jean is featured in this storyline as Revenant, sure it's an alternate reality, but nonetheless, she's there when she could have easily not been included.7. Marvel Girl one-shot: Even if this is because of X-Men: First Class, why then put out a one-shot of Jean when she's not even in the movie; nor any other of the O5, save Beast? I'm sure if Marvel wanted her to remain gone and away, I doubt we would see this.8. Jean Grey merchandise: They just came out with a new Jean statue. If Jean is meant to be gone, gone and not relevant, then I highly doubt they would keep popping out with Jean Grey merch. I apologize for the length here, but I won't apologize for Jean Grey being my most favorite comic book character, a character who was the very reason why I become a fan of the X-Men at all. She's one of the original X-men, she's the very first X-Woman, she is iconic. I would think she would be held in higher regard.

@havok007Not exactly dead- she's White Phoenix now, right?

Jean Grey is dead. Marvel had a chance for this character's death to mean something but they resurrected her anyway. Every longtime reader knows that Jean's return woulddrive story content for years. It's time for it to happen.
