Every week we'll pick a handful of awesome comics from the thousands available through Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited. From creator spotlights to editor's picks and more, this'll be your spot to find something new and cool.

On February 8, 2012, Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth celebrates a milestone with DEADPOOL #50, with art by Carlo Barberi, and written by Daniel Way, who has been with Wade Wilson since before the start of his current series and all the way through to today. With the “Dead” storyline spelling the possible end of DP, we look back today at all the good, bad and downright bizarre times he’s had under the pen of Daniel Way.

WOLVERINE ORIGINS #21

Daniel Way and artist Steve Dillon bring an unpredictable opponent onto Wolverine’s battle field, as Deadpool makes the scene! But what does the unbalanced mercenary want with his old “pal” Logan? That’s what the targeted mutant would like to know, but he’s too busy trying to evade a series of elaborate deathtraps to find the answer. And if Deadpool didn’t provide enough problems on his own, Daken lurks in the shadows!

DEADPOOL (2008) #1

Secret Invasion has struck the Marvel Universe and the Skrulls seem to have a shocking new ally: Deadpool! After wiping out a stadium full of the nasty, green shape-shifters, it seems the Crimson Comedian wants to change his tune and be taken to their leader. Has Wade Wilson turned his back on his home planet? Does anybody care? They might after they realize Deadpool could be the key to the deadliest Super-Skrulls of all time!

DEADPOOL (2008) #10

It’s a no holds barred showdown between two of the deadliest, craziest dudes in the Marvel Universe when Bullseye comes gunning for Deadpool! After being embarrassed by DP, Norman Osborn sends his most dangerous Dark Avenger, Hawkeye—aka Bullseye—to teach the merc a lesson, not taking into account the ongoing feud between the two on-again, off-again buddies. Every weapon, tactic and crazy gamble comes into play when these two pull out all the stops in a symphony of violence!

DEADPOOL (2008) #19

Rejected for membership by the X-Men but still desperately wanting to be all the hero he can be, Wade Wilson hitches a bus to New York to learn from the ever-amazing Spider-Man! Unfortunately for ‘pool, Spidey’s not really in the market for a protégé, let alone a deranged gun for hire looking to turn over a new leaf. However, he may have no choice but to accept Deadpool’s help when the hellacious Hit-Monkey starts tearing up the NYC underworld and lands the webslinger in his crosshairs!

DEADPOOL #33.1

The Wrecker’s on a rampage, and his "victims" call the one guy you can count on in a jam like this—then when he’s busy, they settle for Deadpool. But there’s more than meets the eye to this story, as the Merc with a Mouth fights outside of his weight class en route to uncovering the true villains. Daniel Way teams with artist Bong Dazo to provide a perfect jumping on point with this Point One issue!

I really enjoyed the X-men and Spider-man arcs, but most recently I really liked seeing Deadpool run around England after escaping the asylum.

Some pretty decent choices- I liked issues #32-33 myself. I was sceptical about the whole vampire thing, but Daniel Way made it work.
