Who killed The Watcher? That's the question will fuel ORIGINAL SIN, the cosmic murder mystery and summer mega event kicking off in May from writer Jason Aaron and artist Mike Deodato!

Regardless of the guilty party, they now have in their possession Uatu's eye, and with it all the dirty little secrets that have been kept in the Marvel Universe for all-time. With that amount of power on the table, everybody's a suspect!

Could even the virtuous Captain America have been seduced by the promise of all-encompassing knowledge? Does Otto Octavius have enough of a hold on Spider-Man that he could have committed the deadly deed? Artists Steve McNiven and Mike McKone ask those very questions in the teasers below which will also serve as upcoming variant covers on ORIGINAL SIN!

Whoever holds the eye holds ultimate power--secrets will be revealed and questioned answered this summer in ORIGINAL SIN!

Wow, the two people that pretty much make up the heart of the Marvel universe. I sincerely hope it isn't either of them

(Warning: This comment may include one big spoiler from New Avengers: Illuminati vol. 1 and a minor spoiler from Avengers volume 1) I personally think it might be captain america, I'm not entirely sure if they fully close his part in New Avengers by resolving his little memory loss issue, having only read volume 1. But it also shows in the Avengers vol. 1 that he partially recalls the incident, he might be one with a reason to learn about what happened in wakanda. Even if he didn't kill Uatu, he still might try to get his hands on the eye.

      Maybe Doctor Strange.

He already has one powerful eye, and once you have started a collection at this point, you do not continue with some elves' or goblins' eyes.

He wanted Galactus' eyes, but the target moved to another universe. The Strange had to hunt another pair of eyes to put in his collection between the Matt Murdock ones and the Odin one.

I'd be intriguing if it is really an avengers who did this, since nothing really shocking happened with them for quite a while, just hope this is the case...

It could be Spider-Man, seeing as he is still Doc Ock in Peter Parker's body.
