Beginning this November in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, Dan Slott and Olivier Coipel present Spider-Verse, a Spidey story of unprecedented and epic proportions! Learn more from Slott and editor Nick Lowe!

This November, prepare for every Spider-Man…ever! Marvel is proud to announce Spider-Verse, the biggest Spider-Man story of the year from "New York Times" best-selling Spider-Scribe Dan Slott and blockbuster artist Olivier Coipel!

Kicking off this November in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #9 (with a special lead-in story on Free Comic Book Day), Slott and Coipel assemble an legion of Spider-Men from every corner of every universe. Peter Parker, Miguel O’Hara, Miles Morales and many, many more must unite to stop a seemingly insurmountable super-powered foe. Morlun, an incredibly powerful villain has returned with a singular and terrifying goal: exterminate every Spider-Man in every universe! It will take thousands of spider-powered heroes to battle back the greatest threat to this universe or any other!

“The scope of this event is so big, the word ‘epic’ just doesn’t do it justice,” says editor Nick Lowe. “The story is just huge and heartbreaking and has necessitated spreadsheets to organize all the Spider-Men. Luckily we have a writer who has proven time and time again he can thread impossible story-needles [Slott] and the most versatile character artist in the business [Coipel].”

Fans can see the first hints of this event in April’s AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 but will get their first real taste of Spider-Verse in Marvel’s FREE COMIC BOOK DAY GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY issue this with a special five-page lead-in story available for free at all participating comic shops on May 3. This fall, Spider-Verse unites every Spider-Man in history to drive back the forces of darkness. But will an army of Spiders be enough?

Don’t miss the blockbuster Spider-Man event that will have the Marvel Universe on the edge of its seat when Spider-Verse hits comic shops this November! Plus, don’t miss the start of the next big chapter in Spider-Man history in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 on-sale this April!

      So many Spideys: http://marvel.wikia.com/Spider-Man

I'm assuming the Andrew Garfield incarnation is off-limits, but maybe not the Toby Maguire version.  Bonus points to them if they bring in Takuya Yamashiro.  It might be interesting to have the comic strip version of the character show up.

This story sounds horrible, it also sounds so familiar to what the other companies have done...

"Every Spider-Man ... ever!" Does this mean we can expect to see canonical appearances of Tobey Maguire Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man? I highly doubt it, but it would be friggin' awesome if they found a way to make that happen. (However, without them, they are technically missing a few "universes.")

Dan & others - Spider-Verse sounds like an event long in the planning.  I for one appreciate the work & attention to detail that has to go into something like this.  Wondering how many revisions I'll have to make to my Spider-Man chronological arc project after this.  = @Todd_scheve on Twitter

Love the new show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  We are lucky in the age of television for such shows like this. I am glad there not all cartoons.

I like X Factor is back and New Warriors. I wish someone could pick up the new warriors and train them to be the next exciting team. They should be smarter class of heroes. I think they should go thru something that should earn the New Warriors some stripes. Heroes for Hire should comeback hiring hero teams.

I think Marvel should look into finding a way to squeeze in Blue Marvel. I can't believe they let a guy like this sleep. They got a Nick Fury who could use a guy like this. Phil Coulson could use him in an episode maybe even to stop Ms. Marvel if she turns evil. S.H.I.E.L.D. (on the tv show) in comics that some characters like Blue Marvel are mutants or have powers like they started too. I think what I mean is don't let some of their characters sleep if they have a show or a movie they should use them.
