It's Monday, and that means that you've had to find the strength to shake off the after effects of a weekend well spent just to get back into shape for the weekday work-athon. It's tough, sure, but it's a fact of life – one that isn't lost on super humans either. Yep, Mondays mean back to work for super heroes too, as they trade in their uniforms for something more business casual.

If there's one profession that can instantly trump every other parents' at career day, it has to be space pirate.

If Cyclops' childhood had been just a bit more normal – but not so normal that it would preclude having a space pirate dad like Corsair – he could have easily been the most popular kid in his elementary school. Instead, Christopher Summers came into the aforementioned vocation after getting kidnapped and tortured by the mad Shi'ar emperor D'Ken, and poor Scott Summers grew up in an orphanage believing that believed his father died in a fiery plane crash. Both Cyclops and Corsair will get to make up for lost time in CYCLOPS #1, an intergalactic bonding trip that hits stands this Wednesday! Mr. Summers has a lot to teach his son.

Lesson number one: space pirates have to be able to make last minute saves – never too early, of course never too late, but always at the last minute. The first of the Starjammers' many cavalry moments came during the X-Men's epic struggle against D'Ken and his Imperial Guard for control of the reality-altering M'Kraan Crystal. With dual space pistols smoking, Corsair swung into action alongside fellow space pirates Hepzibah, Ch'od, and Raza.

Space pirate lesson number two: only associate with aliens with Zs and apostrophes in their names.

Being a space pirate involves more than swashbuckling adventure. It can also be a life punctuated with leisure, as evidenced by this issue of UNCANNY X-MEN where Cyclops and his fiancee Madelyne Pryor take in a truly out of this world view while visiting with dear old dad.

In between all the last minute derring-do and sight-seeing, Corsair and his band of adventurers also find the time to visit old friends and mingle with other hero teams. At least, that's what Raza convinced everyone in this double-sized issue of AVENGERS. The pony-tailed pirate had a malicious ulterior motive when he suggested that the Starjammers visit their old teammate Carol Danvers on Earth. Conflicts of interest aside, Corsair at least got to visit with his son while enjoying some of Jarvis' home cooking.

Check out Corsair's new adventures in CYCLOPS #1, on sale this Wednesday!
