Black Swan (real name unknown) is an adult female who presents as being in healthy physical shape. She self-identifies as hailing from an alternate Earth, an assertion that has been verified by Dr. Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) and is therefore assumed to be true by this writer and the staff at large. The subject is currently under confinement by Dr. Richards and several of his colleagues.
Subject appears to lack skin pigmentation, but it is unclear the nature of this deficiency. She has declined to offer any details she might possess regarding her skin condition and medical testing has been unable to explain if it is due to her inter-dimensional travel, if it is the norm for people of her Earth, or it is the result of being an albino. Regardless, there appear to be no medical issues associated with her presentation and is therefore, while curious, not the concern of this writer.
Black Swan, by her own admission, has repeatedly witnessed the destruction of several other Earths, first as a passive observer and then, later, as an active participant. Although she projects an air of disinterest in the repeated fates of other worlds that she has helped to facilitate, there are moments when her emotions seem to overpower her and she loses control of her affect. These are typically marked by explosive angry outbursts but this writer hypothesizes that this anger masks far more present and complex mentions including deep sadness and guilt about her involvement in the annihilation of billions. The subject’s continued resistance to engaging the therapeutic model, however, means that, for now, this can only be a hypothesis.
The subject has been similarly so resistant to the staff’s attempts to test her for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or PTSD symptoms that repeated measures have all been rendered un-interpretable and un-evaluable. Her defiance and contempt are seemingly impenetrable.
Until the subject becomes willing to engage the therapeutic process in any manner beyond disgust, threatening behaviors, and total resistance, it is the opinion of this writer that there is simply not much therapeutic work that can be done with her. However, in the name of being as diligent as possible, she is being referred to Doctors Jonathan Hickman and Mike Deodato. Their recommendations will be available for review in the paper entitled NEW AVENGERS #11 available on October 16.
