Meet the All-New Ultimate FF

Check out the origins of Sue Storm and her fantastic new allies!

The Ultimate revolution continues this Wednesday with the release of ULTIMATE FF #1 by Joshua Hale Fialkov, Mario Guevara, and Tom Grummett! Now that the world-devouring threat of Galactus has been dealt with, the Ultimate Universe's biggest brains have banded together to form a totally new institution: the Ultimate Future Foundation! By mixing Tony Stark's money with Sue Storm's ambition, this FF promises to be unlike any we've ever seen before.

ULTIMATE FF brings three new heroes into the fantastic fold alongside the stalwart Invisible Woman. To get you caught up on all things FF, here's the Ultimate rundown on Invisible Woman, Iron Man, Falcon, and Machine Man!

Sue Storm has become an iconic hero in her own right, independent of her former teammates in the Fantastic Four. She's put her genius-level intellect to good use with the Ultimates and S.H.I.E.L.D. Sue's also had her heroism put to the test, as she watched her ex-boyfriend Reed Richards succumb to madness following the dissolution of her Fantastic family. Through it all, though, Sue's been a determined hero – and that determination now has a home in the Future Foundation.

With a brain tumor threatening to put an early end to his life, CEO and genius inventor Tony Stark decided to devote his life to saving the world as Iron Man. Alongside the Ultimates, Stark fought off alien invasions and powerful super villains up until former hero Mr. Fantastic killed him in order to gain the final Infinity Gem. Being a genius, Tony Stark outsmarted death with an electronic back up of his consciousness, which he then inserted back into his body after resurrecting it with the Infinity Gems.

The adventuring scientist known as the Falcon made his debut just in time to defend Earth against the coming of Gah Lak Tus. The Ultimate Universe's Sam Wilson also designed his wing-pack, which he's put to use as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and – more recently – as a member of Nick Fury's handpicked Howling Commandos. Falcon suffered a great loss during the recent Cataclysm event when the Vision, a harbinger of Gah Lak Tus that Sam had grown quite close to, died in battle. To make matters worse, Sam now has to work alongside the remnants of Gah Lak Tus, which have bonded with Danny Ketch to form Machine Man.

Ultimate Comics Ultimates #27

The Howling Commando known as Danny Ketch has become the Future Foundation member called Machine Man. During Galactus' recent attempt to devour the Earth, the Commandoes found themselves tasked with taking out the Gah Lak Tus swarm and freeing all of its captives. In order to save lives and check one threat off of Cataclysm's checklist, one of the Commandos had to merge with the swarm. Danny Ketch volunteered and survived the following explosion, although he's now trapped in a new robot body. Ketch has become the Future Foundation's Machine Man.

To see this fantastic team in action, check out ULTIMATE FF #1 this Wednesday!
