Sandman team-up as hero and villain to rescue Sandman's dad from being wrongfully executed on death row. "I liked drawing Spider-Man's black costume. I started reading comics right when he got it in SECRET WARS #8. So it holds some sentimental value to me. Sandman was a lot of fun to draw with his morphing abilities and sandy texture. "I appreciated that these stories really allowed Spider-Man's supporting cast to shine. Flash Thompson and Betty Brant's date really stands out in my mind from issue #18. We also got to set up some things to wrap up the whole 'The Other'
