MARVEL COMICS EDITOR-IN-CHIEF JOE QUESADA FEATURED AT

New York, March 1, 2005 -- The MONDAY, MARCH 7th session of the INSIDE THE COMICS CREATORS' STUDIO (ICCS) seminar series, moderated by DANNY FINGEROTH, will feature a presentation by Marvel Comics' Editor-in-Chief JOE QUESADA, in which he will talk about his work and his career. This will be followed by audience Q & A with Quesada.



In addition to his successful tenure as Marvel's head editorial honcho, Quesada is also a writer, artist, publisher and musician. His past accomplishments include co-founding EVENT COMICS (home of ASH and PAINKILLER JANE) and the MARVEL KNIGHTS line. As an artist, he is known for his work on DAREDEVIL, AZRAEL and many other characters. Joe's writing credits include DAREDEVIL: FATHER and IRON MAN: THE MASK IN THE IRON MAN.



Held at Manhattan's MUSEUM OF COMIC AND CARTOON ART (MoCCA), the seminar is part of the museum's innovative MoCCA MONDAYS programming. The two-hour session goes from 6:30-8:30 pm. Tickets are $15.00 ($12.00 for MoCCA members). The museum will offer other exciting events on the Monday nights when there is no ICCS session scheduled. On Monday, March 21, the ICCS session will feature former Marvel editor-in-chief and writer of Spider-Man and Spider-Girl, TOM DeFALCO.

Moderator DANNY FINGEROTH, longtime Marvel Comics writer and editor of Spider-Man and many other comics, is editor-in-chief of WRITE NOW magazine (published by TwoMorrows), the premier publication about writing comics, and author of SUPERMAN ON THE COUCH: WHAT SUPERHEROES REALLY TELL US ABOUT OURSELVES AND OUR SOCIETY (Continuum). ''Fight On, Police Woman'': After breaking several traffic laws while chasing the Iron Cross Army, Takuya is placed under arrest and is sent to jail. While there, his cellmate escapes with the assistance of an Iron Cross Army machine bem. Spiderman digs deeper into the connection between the jailbreak and the army, only to find that they needed the convict for their plan to steal Cobalt X. Now Spiderman must make sure that Professor Monster can't get to the Cobalt X, or face the destruction of the city!
