Terry Dodson will soon run with a very unique crowd, both as a newly-exclusive Marvel artist and the latest addition to the UNCANNY X-MEN creative team.

"I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have Terry back, he's one of the best in the biz," raves Marvel Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada. "Every Terry Dodson comic is a clinic in how to do it right."

"Terry's a unique talent," enthuses Marvel Executive Editor Axel Alonso, the man responsible for overseeing the X-Men titles, about Dodson's new status. "He's a great storyteller who excels with widescreen action. And to my mind, he draws some of the smartest and sexiest female characters out there."

The artist will get a chance to exercise all those skills and more as he joins Ed Brubaker and his newly-announced co-writer Matt Fraction on the flagship X-Men title later this year. Dodson will rotate with fellow superstar Greg Land as part of the new revolving UNCANNY art team.

YOUNG X-MEN

"UNCANNY is the core X-Men title and we have big plans for it," elaborates Alonso. "We need an artist of Terry's caliber in the rotation. To the degree that we can, we're tailoring some stories to his particular strengths."

"I think it's important that an artist have a passion for tha character or book he or she is drawing and Terry is a huge X-Men fan," adds Quesada.

Dodson has a history with the X-Men as he cut his teeth in the late '90s with various X-title fill-ins and on the 1996 STORM limited series before a lengthy run on GENERATION X. The artist last graced the House of Ideas with his vibrant work in 2005, collaborating with writer Mark Millar on the launch of MARVEL KNIGHTS SPIDER-MAN. While he recently returned to Marvel as cover artist for YOUNG X-MEN, his UNCANNY work will mark his first full interior art for the company in over two years.

"I'm not at liberty to say [what I'm most looking forward to], but Terry's first arc will definitely play to his strengths," promises Alonso of Dodson's UNCANNY debut.

"I know that Axel and his team have a master plan to make X-Men the dominant imprint at Marvel again and to knock off that pesky Avengers brand," teases Quesada. "I'm looking forward to Terry and the rest of our creative crews being instrumental in bringing [the] X-Men back to their past glory."
