Hulk smashes his way through the bizarre Monster Island!

Each week we highlight a classic storyline told in full inside Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited, the greatest collection of Marvel comics available online! This week we focus on the mind-boggling Hulk story – Tempest Fugit.

HULK:
TEMPEST FUGIT

Written by veteran Hulk scribe, Peter David, and with art by Lee Weeks, this five-issue arc digs up a long forgotten memory which delves deep into the relationship between the Hulk and Bruce Banner. All the while he must deal with the mysterious happenings taking place on the aptly named Monster Island.

A memory from Dr. Banner's high school days reveals a troubled Bruce, and how the Hulk helped him with bullies, girls, and teachers. But don't for a second think this story is smash-free! The mystifying Monster Island seems to host some dangerously strange company.

Can a woman named Gwen and a blind man with a flamethrower named Ripley help the Jade Giant figure out what's happening on the island? Is it the primary hub for an alien invasion headed by Fin Fang Foom? Or is General "Thunderbolt" Ross behind it all? And is that Kang the Conqueror over there?

''Diamond Dust'': Museum robbers disguised as gorillas create a diversion by unlocking a zoo cage and stealing valuable items while the wild animals occupy the security. Spider-Man discovers the devious plan and corrals the freed animals in time to get to the bottom of the heist.
 
Japanese Spiderman, Episode 30
''Fight On, Police Woman'': After breaking several traffic laws while chasing the Iron Cross Army, Takuya is placed under arrest and is sent to jail. While there, his cellmate escapes with the assistance of an Iron Cross Army machine bem. Spiderman digs deeper into the connection between the jailbreak and the army, only to find that they needed the convict for their plan to steal Cobalt X. Now Spiderman must make sure that Professor Monster can't get to the Cobalt X, or face the destruction of the city!

Spider-Man (1994), Episode 8
Spider-Man comes across an alien symbiote that attaches itself to him and forms a new black costume. Meanwhile, Eddie Brock accuses Spider-Man of stealing a valuable rock which was really stolen by the Rhino. Now Spider-Man faces a $1,000,000 bounty for his capture.
 
X-Men (1992) - Season 2, Episode 22
When Mystique forces Rogue to revisit her own past, Rogue's overpowering flashbacks cause her to relive the encounter with Ms. Marvel and drive her from the X-Men. Rogue struggles with Ms. Marvel's thoughts which are trapped in her mind and the two battle it out on the psychic plane.

Spider-Man finds himself caught between Mariah Crawford, a doctor from Africa, and Kraven, a man who has stalked her all the way to America.
