TALES OF SUSPENSE #45
Witness the birth of Tony's supporting cast in this story from Stan Lee and Don Heck. When Tony forgets to charge the chest plate that keeps his heart beating, a burly stranger comes to his rescue: Happy Hogan! Tony rewards Happy by making him his chauffeur, in the process introducing the former boxer to his secretary, Pepper Potts. Neither Pepper nor Happy has any clue that the millionaire they work for is actually Iron Man, even when the villainous Jack Frost ambushes them at Stark Industries and Shellhead has to charge into action!
TALES OF SUSPENSE #70
Iron Man is locked in a life and death battle with the Titanium Man, but outside forces may hold the outcome of the match in their hands in this Stan Lee and Don Heck classic. Happy Hogan races against time to get Iron Man the edge he needs in battle, even though the task may cost him his life!
AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #1
It's a new era for War Machine as he steps into the Initiative and takes command of Camp Hammond in the first issue of AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE by Dan Slott and Stefano Caselli. Rhodey's military background leaves him thinking that the new recruits might not be up to the challenge...but what happens when they prove him entirely correct?
THE ORDER #1
The Initiative means new starts for Iron Man's entire supporting cast, Pepper Potts included! Still reeling from the changes wrought in her life during Civil War, Pepper travels to Los Angles in Matt Fraction and Barry Kitson's series and, taking on the role of Hera, Pepper shepherds the Order through its rocky beginnings.
INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #1
The core of the cast is back in action in INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #1 by Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca! As Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Tony faces his worst fears every day, something he cannot do without help. With the Order over, Pepper goes back to running Tony's life, and Rhodey calls in from Camp Hammond to provide a solid sounding board for Tony's thoughts. It's a good thing he's got friends, because Tony's about to face one of his greatest foes!
