Bursting forth from the pages of LONERS and NOVA, Darkhawk returns to solo greatness this February. Unfortunately for the former New Warrior, he's thrust headfirst into the War of Kings, a major cosmic brouhaha involving the Inhumans, the Shi'ar and more.

WAR OF KINGS: DARKHAWK comes to life courtesy of writer C.B. Cebulski and artist Harvey Tolibao and while the two issue limited series doesn't launch until February 2009, we asked C.B. why this book will rock the house.

5 Reasons Why Darkhawk Rules, Courtesy of Writer C.B. Cebulski

5. He hangs with some of the coolest people in the Marvel Universe, such as Nova, Quasar and the Loners!

4. He's gone toe-to-toe with Venom, the Hobgoblin and the Punisher.

3. He's been a New Warrior and an Avenger!

2. The amulet and the armor! 'Nuff said.

1. And the coolest things about Darkhawk is... you ain't see nothin' yet! There's so much about his past and powers yet to be revealed, prepare to be blown away!

Ever-bombastic editor Bill Rosemann adds, "He's embraced his secret identity as Darkhawk, has a swanky job protecting Project: P.E.G.S.U.S. and is enjoying his relationship with the former New Warrior and Loner known as Turbo. What could possibly go wrong? Well, if your name is Chris Powell, prepare to have your world rocked and your life thrown upside-down! Fate is reaching out for Darkhawk, and leading him to new locales full of danger, drama and excitement in the War of Kings!"

Chris Powell has been many things over his young life, but now he's stepping up with a new life on the East Coast and a serious job at Project: P.E.G.A.S.U.S. But when his past comes back to haunt him and new information about his amulet and its legacy are violently brought to light, Darkhawk realizes he may have to face a much darker destiny that he ever realized. All this, plus the return of the Loners…and a reprint of DARKHAWK #1! You know how ANNIHILATION made you look twice at Nova (now star of a critically acclaimed series)? This is where Darkhawk takes off!
