X-Men: First Class Gets First Class Treatment From Fans, Reviewers

The first issue of X-Men: First Class, the new series by Jeff Parker and Roger Cruz featuring never-before-told stories of the original team of X-Men, has sold out at Diamond.

Fans and critics have been blown away with X-Men: First Class and its refreshing, welcome, and enjoyable first issue.

Tim Bennett of SilverBulletComics.com proclaims it a "must read" and "is an excellent example of making the most of 22 pages, providing action, adventure, humor, and characterization along with a strong plot which wraps up nicely in one issue. This is an effort that Stan and Jack should truly be proud of."

Richard George of IGN.com also proclaimed X-Men: First Class #1 a "must read" and said "X-Men: First Class is a lot of fun…definitely a top-notch read."

Kelvin Green of SilverBulletComicBooks.com called the first issue "a strong and enjoyable bit of comic storytelling."

For the next chapter in the adventures of the original X-Men, pick up X-Men: First Class #2 where the teen mutant team takes on long-time Spider-Man villain the Lizard.
