Spring just blossomed, but here at Marvel, we're already thinking about summer. While America celebrates Independence Day, our Marvel heroes ignite their own fireworks with new Dark Reign titles, special 70th Anniversary issues and more! Check out our Marvel Comics Catalog for the full listing!

DARK X-MEN
THE BEGINNING
#1

After evading the Dark Reign (DR) for much of the year, the X-Men succumb to Norman Osborn's clutches when DARK X-MEN: THE BEGINNING #1 goes on sale. The issue, along with UNCANNY X-MEN #513, mark the first two chapters of the "Utopia" tie-in as the books set out to explain what happened to our mutants and how they wound up underneath Osborn's cloak of darkness.

Summer must be the season to cross over to the dark side. Over 15 new Dark Reign titles, including DR: THE HOOD #3, DR: LETHAL LEGION #2 and DR: THE SINISTER SPIDER-MAN #2 take the Marvel U by storm in July.

INCREDIBLE
HULK #600

With 600 issues to each of their credits, don't expect Spider-Man and the Hulk to slow down anytime soon! "The Man" himself, Stan Lee, along with Dan Slott, Marco Martin and John Romita Jr. are just a few of the creative masterminds behind AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #600, while Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness may reveal the truth behind Red Hulk in INCREDIBLE HULK #600!

America never looked so beautiful with Gene Colan writing and illustrating CAPTAIN AMERICA #601! The milestone double-issue features special cameos from Nick Fury and the late Steve Rogers, as Bucky Barnes uncovers a lost tale from his and Cap's World War II adventures.

DEADPOOL:
MERC WITH
A MOUTH #1

We simply had to make Deadpool's nickname official when naming Victor Gischler's and Bong Dazo's DEADPOOL: MERC WITH A MOUTH #1. A mission to the retrieve a bio-weapon uncovers a web of lies and deceit, leading Wade Wilson to discover the severed head of his Marvel Zombies counterpart! Oh, and did we mention it's still alive? Can the two mouths escape the clutches of Hydra and the primitive Savage Land or will both be silenced once and for all?

Capitalizing on the success of X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, Scott Gray and Roger Cruz team up to guide the second generation of X-Men through mutant adolescence in UNCANNY X-MEN: FIRST CLASS #1! Follow Cyclops, Storm, Banshee, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Wolverine and Phoenix as they familiarize themselves with their powers as well as the Inhumans!

ULTIMATUM:
SPIDER-MAN
REQUIEM #2

Marvel bids farewell to the Ultimate Universe in style with final one-shot Requiem issues, including ULTIMATUM: FANTASTIC FOUR REQUIEM #1 by Joe Pokasi and Robert Atkins, ULTIMATUM: X-MEN REQUIEM #1 by Aron E. Coleite and Ben Oliver and ULTIMATUM: SPIDER-MAN REQUIEM #2 (of 2) by Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Bagley and Stuart Immonen to name a few.

New story, new creative team, same-old battle for humanity! Peter David works alongside artist Eric Nguyen to produce the inaugural issue of HALO HELLJUMPER, the new series following the 105th Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, as they defend the galactic colony of Ariel against mysterious forces. ©2009 Microsoft Corporation. USA COMICS
#1 70TH
ANNIVERSARY
SPECIAL

Some consider seven a lucky number, and with our 70th Anniversary and July being the seventh month of the year, we agree! The ALL SELECT COMICS #1 70TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL, following the Blond Phantom and the USA COMICS #1 70TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL starring the Destroyer go on sale that month, complete with limited edition variant covers by Marcos Martin!

Finally, Iron Fist and the Immortal Weapons make their voices heard with a limited five-issue run of IMMORTAL WEAPONS! Uniting the talents of Jason Aaron, Duane Swierczynski, Mico Suayan and Travel Foreman, the double-sized IMMORTAL WEAPONS #1 depicts the life and origin of Immortal Weapon favorite, Fat Cobra!
