TALES OF SUSPENSE #94
"None can resist the power of my brain beam!!" With those words and a powerful blast from his super-powered noggin, M.O.D.O.K. makes his presence known to Captain America and the world at large. M.O.D.O.K.'s first appearance is full of blasting and betrayals and proclamations and all the hallmarks of a good M.O.D.O.K. appearance. But it also has that magic Stan Lee/Jack Kirby touch that simply cannot be denied. They gave us the gift of M.O.D.O.K. and for that, we'll forever be grateful.
SUPER-VILLAIN TEAM-UP: M.O.D.O.K.'S 11 #1
Let's see, what makes this issue so awesome? Definitive M.O.D.O.K. origin story? Check. Big, shiny launch-pad for an awesome M.O.D.O.K.-centric limited series? Check. Gorgeous artwork by Francis Portella? Check. Killer story about a heist, gathering super-villains and secrets by Fred Van Lente? Check. This is your jam, M.O.D.O.K. fans.
CAPTAIN AMERICA AND THE FALCON #8
Weird business is afoot for Captain America and the Falcon. Cap may be hallucinating. Falcon's trying to keep the duo together. There's a virus on the loose. And to top it all off. M.O.D.O.K.'s back and he's making a point to prove that "Designed only for Killing" is more than just idle talk. Christopher Priest and Joe Bennett kick off a creepy five-part M.O.D.O.K. story in style.
HOWARD THE DUCK (2007)
Okay, so M.O.D.O.K. doesn't star in this issue. But the reality is far more terrifying. For the villain in this tale is another giant-headed abomination created by A.I.M. (in Cleveland, no less!): M.O.D.O.T.! That, uh, that's Mental Organism Designed Only for Talking, ya dig? Watch as M.O.D.O.T. talks his way through this hilarious story by Ty Templeton and Juan Bobillo.
MS. MARVEL #15 (2006)
M.O.D.O.K.'s after a DNA bomb and Ms. Marvel's in her way in this issue by Brian Reed and Aaron Lopresti. See ya, MM! Okay, it's not that simple. On top of secret, underhanded shenanigans going on behind M.O.D.O.K.'s back, he's also sick. But even debilitated by a nasty ailment, M.O.D.O.K. manages to use his massive brain powers to overpower an Avenger and attempt to kill Ms. Marvel.
