Thor gets the royal treatment!

We kicked off the "Thor" action with the first image of Thor. Then, last week, we gave you a peek at the first official photo of Odin, Thor and Loki all together. Now, with much fanfare, we present your first look at Odin’s throne, deep in the fabled halls of Asgard!

Odin's Throne from the "Thor" film

Gathered around Odin are (from left to right) Loki, Frigga, Odin, Thor, Hogun and Fandral. Lined up in front of the royal gathering are Odin’s elite warriors, the Einherjar. And perched atop the All-Father's throne, flanking the lord of Asgard, are his ravens Hugin and Munin.

With only three days to go until San Diego Comic-Con, stay tuned to Marvel.com for more from Marvel Studios, and remember to mark May 6, 2011 on your calendars as “Thor” storms into theaters!

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the epic adventure "Thor" spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard.  At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war.  Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment.  Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

"Thor" is from a screenplay by Ashley Edward Miller & Zack Stentz and Don Payne and a story by J. Michael Straczynski and Mark Protosevich.  Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige will produce the film.  Alan Fine, Stan Lee, David Maisel, and Marvel Studio’s Co-President, Louis D'Esposito, will executive produce.

In addition to "Thor," Marvel Studios is also scheduled to release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Captain America: The First Avenger" on July 22, 2011 and "Marvel Studios' The Avengers" on May 4, 2012. See "Iron Man 2" in theaters now.

This is the first time we'll have seen THOR 'the comic book Norse God' bless the silver screen. I don't envy the movie makers with such the difficult task. With a somewhat credible Director and what I hope is a good cast this has the makings of a good conversion from comic book to movie. Let's hope they don't ruin THOR he's one of my faves as a kid and I'd like to see him again.

I don't know guys. I am hopeful but it looks kinda elaborately staged and fake. Hope on screen it looks better. Thor should be a hell of a lot bigger huh?? Don't let the costumes look to theatrical or we lose another one.

i kinda got over the look of Thors armor, thought it closely looked like his present armor and got over the "plastic" looking nature of it. But now its shared by everyone in the movie....yikes. not to mention this thrown room...i mean...i know they're gods, but they're viking gods...can we maybe ya know....maybe make them look...norse? it looks like their in some sort of futuristic space ship with shiny suits on. is this Thor of Thor 2099??? meter on hope for this movie is droping fast here guys, and with the casting of Capt. America ruined...i honestly see things getting much much worse...

To everyone that is complaining, if you don't like Thor don't watch it! Thor is a god and is royalty so its only natural that we see these shots. There will be some gritty epic scenes...geez the movie isn't even finished yet.

itll be cool to see loki as a woman just like he (or she) was in comics.

helmet/no helmets I think they look amazing! and I think it doesn't matter if they have them or not. this is a truly awe inspiring picture! I think that for the character looks is a good compromise on the 616 and Ultimate look with a modern twist! my only concern before Iron Man 2 was the hammer would be the Ultimate hammer axe!

Ok I get it. That%u2019s not a Thor movie, it%u2018s Dungeons & Dragons 2. Reflecting walls, plastic armors, childish GOLDEN eye patch and teenagers pretending to be Viking warriors. Great job Marvel.

Finally, a shot of somebody (Loki & Odin) wearing their helmet...and I think/hope Thor's holding his in his left arm.

Epic Fail...Why did the comic go to more realistic looking threads and the movie get even more gaudy? This should be much grittier and less Neverland Ranch.

well, this is looking better than the last image, I think the lighting and lack of helmets was part of the problem there. this actually looks pretty nice.
