I cant wait to see this movie. I love Chris Evans, he is so awesome. He was great has The Human Torch bc he had Johnny's sense of humor and worked well with the other guys. I am little pissed they changed Bruce Banner, bc Edward Norton looked like Bruce Banner, bc he tall and thin and looked like a nerd.

@DevilHulk89616 Classic Cap, created in 1941. Spandex, created in 1959. Classic Cap isn't wearing spandex. Ultimate Cap most assuredly is.

Next time pulleez consider ARMIE HAMMER for Cap's role.

If they made a Human Torch vs. Captain America movie, which role would Chris Evans play?

as a true captain america fan i am trully disappointed that they got the crappy human torch to play an american icon.chris wasnt even good as the human torch.i really hope he doesnt try to add horrible one liners or puns into the movie. i hope you know what you are doing marvel because while i am a true captain america fan i have a bad feeling about this movie.

I feel the suit looks good the colors are a little dark and they shouldn't have coverd the star in low light shots it all going to blend and be all blue and black but i still like the over all look of it

Considering Cap is the most iconic Marvel Comics character of the Golden Age (3rd after Superman and Batman), I would've of thought they'd put more time and effort into this film. All the 'first looks' I've seen for this haven't really impressed me. To be honest, it almost looks like a cheap direct-to-video release aimed at little children just coming into Marvel fandom. Remember, Marvel you're attracting a much more mature audience these days; please remain true to the adult integrity of films like Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk, movies that not only looked brilliant but weren't childish in their dialogue, storyline and overall appearance of the film themselves. That being said though, I am glad they opted for the somewhat Ultimate Alliance appearance because seriously let's face it, Cap's original costume works in the comics but on screen would look ridiculous and rather silly in comparison to the other superhero films - bright blue spandex, you really think that would look good, even more so in a World War II setting? All-in-all, I'm hoping this movie outshines my criticisms because I really want this to be an awesome film because it definitely has a lot of potential.

Looks cool can't wait. I think that the Marvel movies are going to be way better than Dc comics.

they want the suit similar to the ultimates costume not the early costumes

The reason this Captain America Suit looks off is because:1) The "A" and wings are too, dark, small and subtle.2) The red gloves and boots and belt are a subtle maroonish brown.3) The Cowl and uniform are seperated as two pieces thus exposing his neck.As long as they rectify these issues by the end of the movie. The fans should be happy.

Why the hell is Human Torch playing Cap!? Not sure if I like that...

This is what I would think Capt A. would look like, i just thought they would have cast another actor. I think Chris Evans is a great actor, but he was already in Fantastic 4!

suit lame could of come up with something better,

TS_Calibrate
TS_Calibrate

The suit looks fine, and functional for the era he is in--also not to say that the one we're used to wouldn't.Plus, most people complaining now are very likely to change their mind once the view the trailer (whenever it comes out).So far, so good, Marvel. And my only complain is this span that continues to fill up your comment section.

To much brown, the outfit is lame,i know it's the 40's but still.so the fans get new pictures but no trailer yet hmm, whats rong with this picture,a trailer would be nice ,maby we'll get 1at the superbowl commercial lol.

Oh, my goodness...in the age of TDK and Iron Man, I don't think I could take this costume or someone in it seriously.

its the wrong costume for ww2 look at the old comics and get the shield right at lease

It's the lamest captain america that I've seen since Matt Salinger in 1990. Damn Marvel! you didn't learn anything from Batman, didn't you?

I like the costume. It looks even better in action! I can't wait for this movie.

This doesn't look like the suit of a athelete. Bring back the Original Cap. This cap, his whole right side is brown leather. I remember when America was the "Red, white and blue". Captain America emulated that with his costume. This is the "Brown, grey and blue" With Hammer Pants. Worst of all is his chin strap that makes him a "Special Needs" person. I know it's like forties football style but it makes him look like he is in adaptive P.E. and needs a wheel chair.

Directed towards 2nd image: Cap in action looks gud but just a little bulky. Hope the movement isnt too stiff cuz as we all kno Cap is very agile and needs a suit tht is very flexible

I wasn't sure about how they would pull off Chris Evans as Captain America whenever he was Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four movies, but those movies didn't really go anywhere, so good job choosing Chris and the suit's appearance.

they should've kept edward norton as hulk also, i've only seen this new guy in chick flicks, he stinks

Now i remember who he plays. Thx. Yeah, i dunno. Cap was more mature, i thought they would've had a more mature person take the role. But, who knows, it may be surprising

I expect him to burst into flames in this flick! Dont know why they keep using the same actors into different charaters.....Ryan reynolds...who is he playing next?

As far as the costume goes, it's an accurate representation of the "Ultimates" WWII era Captain America. The Ultimates version of Cap wore a more realistic looking military-style uniform that was not skintight, so they pretty much nailed here. As far as casting, Evans doesn't appear to have a Captain America physique or the blonde hair, and that's a disappointment -- but perhaps he can still make it work. As far as proportion goes, he may fit in nicely standing with Downey's Tony Stark and Hemsworth's Thor.

This suit is horrible, think about it, red suspenders. And why isnt Mark Valley playing Cap??? he has the chin and face, Chris obviously doesnt! I dont think this movie has a prayer. Big cap fan, very disappointed Marvel...

i think it looks more like captain america agent of shield. but how knows might work... i just hope the keep the vibranium/ shield consept

admit it people, the suit is awesome. so what if it doesn't track the golden age books per se? A real Cap sent into combat really would look something like this.

I'm proud that Chris Evans bulked up for the role, but I'm still sorta' nervous. When I first heard that he was Cap, I said:"The guy who played Human Torch? Boulderdash!"But I think he may be able to deliver.

ryandempsey

at first when they announced that chris evans aka the human torch is playing cap america i was so angry, getting someone who played a big marvel character to play an even bigger character i tought heres the next marvel failure like the new spider-man in 2013 but after seeing how chris evans bulked up and seeing some footage on the game i forgave marvel for there stupidedy but hopefully marvel will never make those mistakes again and there is still plenty of time to cancel spider-man so marvel do your fans a favour

find this suit to be quite awsome but i am hoping that in the avengers 2012 movie it will change over to the original suit shown in the comics. the shield is perfect though. hoping to see this in 3D and hav tht thing thrown in my face. Along with Thor i think this, will be some of Marvel's best work.

SilverSavage87
SilverSavage87

Not sure how the movie will turn out but he does look awsome in the suit, I must admit. It does bother me that he was also the human torch but whatever lol.

i agree with everyone ,after almost 40 years of comics & knowing the character,it seems marvel gives us a tiny bit of hope by a picture ,they promised a trailer, we havent gottin 1 yet, thor came out with a long trailer, captain american is way behind, the suit doesnt impress me they being MARVEL could do better, this suit looks cheap as do the muscles i was hoping for way better what ive seen so far only tarnishes the real cap.i hope that thor doesnt steal the spotlight from the cap but there so close movie wise together i wouldnt be surprised.we deserve a trailer why they have been filming all this time and cant get a trailer out who knows .i can only hope this isnt final product cause if so alot of fans are gonna be very unhappy at marvel like me.come om marvel get this film rite the fans deserve it ,dont low budget film the fans get it rite the first time .

After 39 years of reading the Comics this is so cool to finaly see them made into movies worthy of their grandure. But, I aggree with the dedicated readers about finding the right actor to play these superheros. Please find people that can at least pull off the look of the hero. "nuff said\
