An action-packed, epic space adventure, “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits--Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand--with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which first appeared in comic books in Marvel Super-Heroes, Issue #18 (Jan. 1969), stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Nova Prime and Benicio Del Toro as The Collector.

Kevin Feige, p.g.a., is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Jeremy Latcham, Nik Korda and Stan Lee serve as executive producers. James Gunn and Nicole Perlman wrote the screenplay.

Even though I'm Unlimited Plus I was confirmed for the wrong city in the wrong state for this.  I sent in an email for assistance and got no reply.  Very unpleased with how this whole process has gone.

I'm not sure exactly what's being shown or how long it is. This is the official announcement, as far as I know, so I'm going to explain my confusion.

First paragraph-Marvel Studios announces Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”: An IMAX 3D First Look--featuring 17 minutes of exclusive footage from the highly anticipated summer blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy.” The sneak peek will be showcased in 150 theater locations across North America on July 7, 2014, at 7 p.m.

The first paragraph says there is an announcement essentially. "Marvel Studios" (subject) "announces" (verb) ""Guardians of the Galaxy"" (direct object), is the actual information in the first sentence. The information after the colon is used to separate the sentence to explain something in the sentence. Dashes are used to separate things further than commas and also not part of the direct message. The sentence could be altered to say: "Marvel Studios announces "Guardians of the Galaxy", featuring 17 minutes of exclusive footage of IMAX 3D." Featuring means an important part or quality (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/featuring) and does not mean "showing only". Based on the grammatical structure, the first sentence indicates the entire movie will be shown with 17 minutes of special footage. What makes the footage special and when it will be shown is unknown. The 17 minutes could be all there is in IMAX 3D, but it still indicates that it is only a part of the whole event. The second sentence calls the event a "sneak peek". Sneak would have to be used in adjective form to mean secretly, likely in respect to those who will not be permitted to see it as part of this event. Peek would thus have to be a noun that would mean either secretly (yet again in respect to those who weren't permitted) or briefly. The ambiguity of that statement leads to further context clues to be sought in order to determine the meaning.

The second paragraph calls the event a screening. A screening is indicated as being a movie by Merriam-Webster's dictionary (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/screening). The paragraph goes on to say that the screening is of the movie that will be publicly released August 1st, further yet confirming that this should be the full feature film.

I could go on, but I feel that is adequate evidence that the statement as a whole indicates the movie will be shown in its entirety according to the announcement. Otherwise, it is an incorrectly stated statement that needed to be revised if only 17 minutes are to be shown. So I'd like an answer and hopefully expressed why there may be confusion. I've seen evidence to indicate that it is in fact only 17 minutes. The official statement contradicting the evidence, is why I feel such an inquiry necessary.

Is a there a list of theaters where the preview will be shown? I'm a confirmed VIP but Marvel sent the address for a theatre in Colorado, but I'm in St. Louis. :)

@Furyoso  I have the same issue.  I confirmed for Unlimited Plus as well and they signed me up for Orange, California...even though I requested Roseville, Minnesota.
