Have you ever wanted to get an up close and personal look at Captain America's uniform? A chance to check out his iconic shield? Or even the opportunity to meet the Sentinel of Liberty himself? With the new "Captain America: The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage" exhibit at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, you can do all three!
The exhibit contains rarities such as Cap's World War II uniform, as well as a selection of his signature shield, but for those willing to look closer, "Captain America: The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage" contains much more. Of particular interest to members of the Merry Marvel Marching Society is a timeline detailing the known history of the First Avenger, as well as a life-size lenticular display, showing Cap's dramatic transformation from undersized weakling to the larger-than-life hero we know today.
But as exciting as all that is, it's just an appetizer to the "Captain America: The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage's" main course: A chance to meet the man himself. Upon entering a back room, fans are warmly greeted with a friendly "Hi there, I'm Captain Steve Rogers," and treated to a short chat with the iconic hero and, of course, a photo opp. While we didn't get the chance to see Cap throw down with any super villains, he was still every bit as impressive as the figure he cuts on the silver screen.
When pointed at a poster for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," the Captain America Experience app causes Cap himself to come leaping out in an amazing feat of 3D augmented reality. The app even gives you the opportunity to snap a picture with Captain America and then share to your favorite social network.
Visit the "Captain America: The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage" in the Innoventions hall at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, starting March 7, and download the Captain America Experience app today for your iOS devices. Then, make sure you catch "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" when it comes marching into theaters on April 4!
