BLACK WIDOW MOVIE PLEASE!!!

DangyThang
DangyThang

Seriously, Marvel Studios should get on that Captain Marvel movie.  We've seen enough Black Widow already, we should get Ms Marvel as the first female super hero standalone from Marvel Studios. Maybe even put Spider Woman in the movie with her Ultimate power set? Idk she'd be cool with either power set I just like to see web swinging lol but I digress!

Carol Danvers is a great character and has great powers that would ROCK on screen, I mean I love Dr Strange but I can't believe we're getting a solo Strange film before a Ms Marvel film. Not that I'm complaining I'm just saying Captain Marvel is a great freakin character lol.

Carol Corp always gets snubbed :/

Don't forget about the casual reference to Moon Knight in "The Winter Soldier". Potential movie material right there as well.

They are going to cross brand. It makes the most sense. Here is why- the average age of  a typical comic book reader is between the ages of 35-44, where as the youth (under 18 market) has previously the target audience. They are going to need to develop a new series that is going to be most beneficial to ensuring that interest in their comic book will reach a new youth audience, seeing as Marvel's previous market of 35-44 year olds could be pushing 60 by 2020.

This new series of comics, whatever it may be, will also feature digital comic books of the same title and also a children's television show that will be on Disney Channel Saturday Mornings, you know, to try and raise excitement about their blockbuster movies. Because let's face it, if a child REALLY wants to go see a movie, they are going to bug their parents until the get to go. And at the end of the day, isn't the whole point of this to sell more tickets to their movies?!?

I can only hope that since hell will freeze over before Fox gives up the rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four (before they've butchered the franchises with their continued terrible films, ugh), maybe instead Marvel Studios will expand and give us more than just 2 films per year. With how many characters they still can utilize in films and with how many all of us are begging to see, I hope they'll recognize our fandom and how much we approve of what they're doing that they'll give us more per year.

Everyone wants spin-offs for Black Widow, Hawkeye (I want to see him get a girl, be it Widow or introduce us to Agent Barbara Morse aka Mockingbird, his future wife), a better Hulk film (I can take or leave this, though), introductions to Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man and with their rumors of each Guardian potentially getting spin-offs. And I, personally, want some Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch adventures that take them to Attilan to introduce us to the Inhumans, the Terrigen Mist and that whole section of the Marvel Universe.

Some of those dates get me thinking about age and it's a tad worrysome for me. It's not like I'm as old as Stan Lee (no offense, as the man has to be in pretty damn good shape reaching his early 90's now), but I'd at least like for them to either speed up the process of this long-term, grand-scale story the Marvel Cinematic Universe is telling us movie by movie as the years go on or just flesh it out more with more films. I understand films take much longer to produce than comics do, but I just hope that maybe Marvel Studios recognizes they've got the market cornered on awesome comicbook superhero films.

The mere fact their films also cross genres (a period film, conspiracy political thriller, Shakespearean/epic fantasy tales and sci-fi techie movies) is another impressive feat as well. All we get with Fox's X-Men and Fantastic Four is sci-fi (sure, DoFP is a touch of historical fiction too). We, the fans, approve of what Marvel Studios is doing and want more of it.

P.S. Anyone else notice despite how much you may enjoy and like Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past, doesn't the whole premise of the future Sentinels bother you?

Spoiler alert: the future Sentinels gain their capability to adapt and counter the future mutants because they're infused with DNA of a shapeshifter. Remember, a shapeshifter/metamorph can only alter their appearance not their abilities, evidenced in X1 when Mystique shifts into Wolvie and sprouts claws that Logan simply slices through. "No-one's ever left a scar quite like you" says she can't heal like him either, even if she were to shift into him to gain his healing factor.

So, these Sentinels shouldn't be able to counter Iceman's cold or Sunspot's heat as we see them do, yet they do it. The one Colossus fights is different, since it adapts to his organic steel by simply copying it, which has you wondering if instead they're infused with Rogue's DNA. Right? Or if maybe Synch's DNA is utilized? Since his mutation is the ability to "synch" with other nearby mutants and gain their powers/abilities. Think about it all, because when you ask yourself this question as I did, the whole film unravels. Poorly done, Bryan Singer, trying to give Jennifer Lawrence's character more pull in the film despite it ruining the premise.

Black Widow solo movie? no thanks. I'd like to see The Infinite Gauntlet as A3; if they get to give us Planet Hulk they MUST give us WORLD WAR HULK. Turn off, let's go.

Here's what I think will happen for Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Okay. Here it goes:

1) "Ant-Man" - Confirmed for 7/17/15

2) "Captain America 3" - Confirmed for 5/6/16

3) "Doctor Strange" - Likely to be confirmed for 7/8/16 at SDCC 2014

4) "Thor: Ragnarok" - Likely to be confirmed for 5/5/17 at SDCC 2014

5) "Black Panther" - Likely to be confirmed for 7/28/17 at SDCC 2014

6) "Planet Hulk" Likely to be confirmed for 11/3/17 at SDCC 2014

7) "Black Widow Solo Movie" - 5/4/18

8) "Marvel's The Inhumans" - 11/2/18

9) "Marvel's Avengers: War of Two Universes" - 5/3/19 and 11/1/19 - End of Phase 3 of MCU

Oh and for "The Avengers 3" for May 3, 2019, I hope it will be titled "Avengers: War of Two Universes" where we will see the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers team-up to battle Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet along with his minions including Ronan, Nebula, Korath, Loki, The Other, and.... wait for it.... RED SKULL RETURNING AS COSMIC SKULL! OH YEAH, BABY! WHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joshawott

My guess that will probably be wrong because it's 1:30am and what am I doing:

2017: Thor 3, Black Panther
2018: Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Black Widow
2019: Avengers: The Infinity War (it will be based on "The Infinity Gauntlet" but "War" sounds cooler).

Personally, I think Ms Marvel might suit the direction the Marvel Cinematic Universe is going in more than Black Widow, but we do know that a Black Widow movie has been discussed (even if it's at an early stage). I'd also like to see Doctor Strange receive a second movie over Thor due to the former's large role in The Infinity Gauntlet but urgh, Thor 3 is already confirmed. Maybe he could get a sequel over Guardians of the Galaxy (although Marvel have already talked about hopes to turn it into a franchise)?

@freeman316 There is no reason to spread out the introductions of the gems. People will forget an insignificant detail like that from movie to movie. Also the gems were introduced together in the comics. If they do what you suggest someone at Marvel is going to get fired.

@freeman316 ahh, one problem.  thor 2 already intro'd the power gem; it was the red aether.  guardians will have the space gem, purple.

@freeman316 You forget. It's been announced that Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, & Vision will be in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Also, it's been announced that after their Netflix debuts, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will most likely be in Ant Man. Besides that you sound about right, except I doubt Hulk will be sent into space (yet). Also, although it would be awesome, a Guardians/Hulk/Nova crossover seem extremely unlikely. Also it's been announced that the Nova Corps will be in Guardians of the Galaxy.

carlosdanger94
carlosdanger94

@freeman316 I think that's actually pretty spot on. I mean, if Marvel's being realistic, they're probably not going to go any further than those heroes for the MCU (plus Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Vision ofcourse), because aside from them being the key heroes, Marvel can only stoke the interests of the average movie-goer in just the right way, and they're probably not going to go out and see a Shang-Chi or Wonder-Man movie. Personally, I would like for Avengers three to be something in the vein of Marvel NOW!, with all the heavy-hitters of the MCU coming together for a giant Avengers roster. If Spider-Man somehow falls back into Marvel's hands, because I hear a different side of that story every day, so much the better.

CowabungaSensei

@freeman316 Whoa. That's quite the detailed list there. I'd take it. Perhaps we'll get a glimpse at just how close you are in a week.

@kbeach223 Welcome to planet earth. Marvel already sells digital comics. Its the fastest growing segment of their business Its about 15% of all comics sold)and growing fast). Also they have several Saturday mourning and after cartoons on Disney. Avengers Assemble, Hulk agents of Smash, Spiderman, Wolverine and the X-Men. Those are the ones off the top of head but there have been a few more. They are all kid friendly Marvel TV shows on the Disney channel.

Ginevra372

@lhunter0324  I don't, because it would be without Robert Downey Jr. and a new actor taking over may not necessarily be well-received. RDJ is contracted for Avengers 2 and 3 and then he's done. Besides, we've already had an Iron Man trilogy and they wrapped that up with too nice a bow on it anyway. Tony Stark spends 4 films with an arc reactor on his chest to keep him alive and then they go and FINALLY do the surgery to remove the shrapnel in his heart? Why not do that soon as he got back in Iron Man 1? Right?

That, plus blowing up all his suits just to show loyalty/dedication to Pepper. Now, we have to only imagine he instead builds the custom rig we see his cartoon incarnation use that allows him to verbally-construct a customizable armor suit with whatever composition/features he needs it to have right then and there. Like the walkway we see him have in Avengers 1 that takes his suit off for him, but even more sophisticated and elaborate such that he won't need to keep a vault of 40 suits but instead can build/customize one on the spot.

@Hayden360 SW Ep 7 is December. Do we know for sure that 8 & 9 (or the stand-alones) will be May? It wouldn't surprise me if they just leave the new trilogy as holiday movies.

@TheUltron6 @hgbeancakes  When Agent Sitwell is dropping names, he mentions that there's a "potential threat" in Cairo, Egypt. While it's not a direct Moon Knight reference, Moon Knight is one of the few (assuming there's more than one) iconic characters from that region in Marvel comics (and it can't be Apocalypse...because of FOX)

You might be surprised how hesitant people are to get (what in his case appears to be somewhat elective) heart surgery. I could see putting that off for a few years, especially if you have some PTSD from being a hostage in Afghanistan or almost dying in the invasion of New York, and feel extremely vulnerable and mortal.

wsouth

@hgbeancakes @TheUltron6 Potential threat could be terrorist or warlords or stick-up kids. There was absolutely no indiction it was a super being. You're really reaching.

But Deadpool would most likely be done by Fox, and yes it will be a challange to make without it being rated R but i think the auideince is there for it as long as its done the righT way, it iS totally doable
