Geez, someone's a little uppity. There is no right or wrong way to do art. That's why it's call art and not drafting or tracing.

Dear Marvel:I have been an avid reader & collector of Amazing Spider-Man since the 1970’s. Through those years I have enjoyed & disliked many stories through the web slinger’s career. Having said that I must comment on the artwork in issue 611 by Eric Canete. One word describes it best, atrocious! It is deplorable how a title with such a solid history as Amazing Spider-Man, which brought in it’s standards of excellence, artists like Kirby, Romita, McFarlane, Bagley, and Deodato, to degrade that standard by publishing & having the audacity of charging it’s loyal readers for issue 611. Ever since Amazing went to three issues a month, it appears that in Marvel’s haste to get the story to the presses the artwork has been at times sloppy. Never has that been as apparent as in issue 611. I could not imagine, “Spider Man No More” “The Death of Gwen Stacy” or the Origins of the Hobgoblin or Venom being drawn so poorly. If they had, Amazing may have never had reached to issue 611. Marvel owes a commitment to the best standards available not only to its loyal readers past & present, but to readers of future generations to come. Amazing commands the best writers, artists, letterers, inkers, colorist, & it should be treated as such. Amazing should not give way to substandard, inferior, or downright terrible artist. To do that brings shame & disgrace to the genius of its creators and all those in the past 48 years that have endeavored to honor & commit to that genius.
