Guice's splash page is really remarkable. I have been frustrated by many of the interpretations of Cap since coming back on board with the Brubaker series. The "Ultimate" utilty belt is pretty obnoxious, and so is the "chain mail thing" going on with his shirt. This splash of Cap and Bucky harkens back to Romita Sr. It really is great. Guice's splash page is really remarkable. I have been frustrated by many of the interpretations of Cap since coming back on board with the Brubaker series. The "Ultimate" utilty belt is pretty obnoxious, and so is the "chain mail thing" going on with his shirt. This splash of Cap and Bucky harkens back to Romita Sr. It really is great. I'd love it if Guice would take over the full-time artwork.After having said that, I'm hopeful that we see some angst with the shield. Bucky has used the costume and shield not only to carry on Steve's legacy which he feels is totally important but reintroduce himself into a new life, off-setting Winter Soldier. Of course that's easier said than done, and so I'm sure Bucky will be struggling with his Winter Soldier persona for some time. How can you deny the past?As for Steve, his demons are different, a whole different challenge not only in what he percieves as failures in his life but now with the loss of Sharon's and his baby, what is his future?

I'm incredibly annoyed by Captain America: Reborn. Steve Rogers is barely in the ground and he's coming back already?? And Thor DID talk to him from the afterlife or whatever, which would seem to contradict the whole 'oh i'm not dead, i was shot by magical time-machine bullets so i'm just floating around the twentieth century' thing. His whole death just completely loses its meaning if he's ...

The artwork looks great! Everyone is expecting Steve to take back the shield, of course the Seige previews don't help the suspense much but what a great turn of events if Bucky continues on as Cap!
after siege, bucky will probably lead fury's dark avengers team. id like to see him stay as cap but i wouldnt mind to see the winter soldier again. both are badass

Who wields the Shield is something of a silly question given we've seen plenty of Seige material showing Steve holding it. But I'll still be interested to see what Ed will do with Bucky - I'd be happy with him being either Winter Soldier or still Cap personally, both costumes are awesome. But I wouldn't want Bucky to become tossed aside and become meaningless. But since Ed's writing this I think we've got little to worry about. :)
