No ifs ands or buts about it: Sif's miffed.
After temporarily having Loki living inside of her body and being forced into the frame of a sick woman on the verge of death, the goddess has been rightfully not feeling herself lately. Cue writer Kelly Sue DeConnick's one-shot on March 24 with artist Ryan Stegman to get Sif out of her funk.
"Well, this is pretty much the story of how she deals with that," DeConnick explains. "She was a bit cowed at first and, for a woman as fierce and proud as Sif, that's insult added to injury. This is the story of how she comes to own that fury and rises to her full stature once again."
The story promises to team Sif with her former flame Beta Ray Bill, who now has a brand new love interest following BETA RAY BILL: GODHUNTER.

Muddying matters even further will be the fact that an unavailable Thor was Bill's first choice and the looming presence of an as-yet-unnamed villain who will offer up enough of a challenge for both heroes. What kind of villain might that be?
"The most insidious kind," the writer teases. "The kind that gets inside your head. I'm sure there are few enemies that the two of them couldn't obliterate in simple combat but even goddesses and horse-faced alien champions are subject to their own doubts."
But, with Sif's emotional state, maybe she's not ready for the challenge just yet.
"Sif hasn't gotten soft," DeConnick says. "This isn't a 'Rocky' montage where Sif starts over in sweat pants and goes back to punching the ole' side o' beef with Mickey. Physically, she's recovered. It's her warrior spirit that's flagging. She's faced with an enemy here that she tries to take down with her sword, but ultimately, it's one that must be defeated with

Just glad they didn't get all cheesy to complicate things for a Thor/Sif development by tossing the Godhunter developments out just to spark back up some crap between Bill and Sif. I think it was way past time for a Thor/Sif relationship, and that's already set to be complicated by her not being one with Foster, who will be in Thor's human side's life.They already seem to have tossed out the ...

Just glad they didn't get all cheesy to complicate things for a Thor/Sif development by tossing the Godhunter developments out just to spark back up some crap between Bill and Sif. I think it was way past time for a Thor/Sif relationship, and that's already set to be complicated by her not being one with Foster, who will be in Thor's human side's life.They already seem to have tossed out the past development that gave Beta Ray Bill a human form to turn into, so no hooking back up with Sif for her one-shot gives me some relief that enough things in Marvel still follow logic.
