i enjoyed avengers day i got some free avenger stuff and i got the heroic variant issue #1 that i wanted so i guess it went well for me cant wait for issue #2

Not sure if the last comment posted so I'll try again. We had a similar underwhelming celebration at our local shop for Avengers day, but was worse was finally reviewing the new Avengers launch. Despite the obvious warnings in the previews leading up to the relaunch we here at the Ninja Nation (www.comicsninja.com) had high hopes for the series since we are huge Avengers fans and enjoy Bendis' writing. Unfortunately, the new artwork by Romita, Jr. is so cartoony it appears the series is aimed at the 5-10 year old set. We had to employ our Ninja skills and read the issue in the shadows so nobody would catch us reading this kiddy book in public. Usually I will give a series a couple of issues before deciding upon whether to stick with it but I think I'll try maybe one issue further and that is about it. I bought Avengers #1 with the regular cover and a couple of comics for my kid and called it a day. Not what I was expecting.
