Yesterday, we gave you an exclusive up-close-and-personal look at the actual helmets worn by Thor, Loki and Odin in the "Thor" film. Even before that, though, we revealed to you our spectacular booth at San Diego Comic-Con, dominated by Odin's royal throne. But what lay behind those golden doors, you may have asked?

Today fans at Comic-Con learned the answer to that question as director Kenneth Branagh unveiled the Destroyer, straight from the "Thor" film itself! But if you weren't able to make it to the big reveal, fear not, as our intrepid photographers snapped your first official look at one of Thor's most powerful antagonists!

Just what role will the Destroyer play in Thor's first live-action feature film? Well, you'll have to wait a while longer for that answer, True Believers. Until then, feast your eyes on one of Marvel's most imposing creations, brought to life for the very first time!

And if you're at Comic-Con, be sure to stop by the Marvel Booth (#2329) to get an up close and personal view of the Destroyer for yourself!

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the epic adventure "Thor" spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard.  At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war.  Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment.  Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

The screenplay for "Thor" was penned by Mark Protosevich as well as Ashley Miller & Zack Stentz, and Don Payne.  Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige will produce the film.  Alan Fine, Stan Lee, David Maisel, and Marvel Studio’s Co-President, Louis D'Esposito, will executive produce.

In addition to "Thor," Marvel Studios is also scheduled to release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Captain America: The First Avenger" on July 22, 2011 and "Marvel Studios' The Avengers" on May 4, 2012. See "Iron Man 2" in theaters now.

It's cool how Marvel is expanding its superheroes into movies more than DC Comics. This will be so awesome!!!
