sorry, Spawn_Guy I didn't think it was terrible animation, simple as that. I'd never seen a comic animated in this way, they took the great art and animated it as 3d and with effects. none of the visuals were to me better or worse than the comic and I enjoyed watching it. when you read a (non-comic) book and then see a movie of it, it's disappointing that it doesn't look like you thought it ...

I'd never seen a comic animated in this way, they took the great art and animated it as 3d and with effects. none of the visuals were to me better or worse than the comic and I enjoyed watching it. when you read a (non-comic) book and then see a movie of it, it's disappointing that it doesn't look like you thought it would, and they cut out parts that were important. Here I was to impressed by what they accomplished to see it as lacking, (yes the movement was jerky in places... but in a comic you get freeze frames of the actions, so I don't see this as worse or shotty just different visually [I like both]) and there's no "scenes" cut for time. the only thing is as we've both said it doesn't sound quiet right, for me that's 'cause I heard them talking like characters in Buffy/Firefly/Angel, that's what I was expressing. and by direct, I mean telling the voice actors in the recording booth, the way they should say it [tone, etc.] (this is a facetious plea, I don't think it'd happen)if this were a comic I enjoyed less, it'd be a lot like pandering, but I liked this a lot and my younger brother who's only read spider-man watched and thoroughly enjoyed it, then read the comics, and now we're reading Secret and Young Avengers (I feel no desire to read about vamps vs. x-men) but we're hoping for more of the astonishing x-men motion comic.I agree with your earlier comment that a cartoon might be better, but this is good by me.

(Baring whatever you paid for the book of course) Why would you want something you already *owned* given back to you? That doesn't seem at all boring or even a little like pandering? When is marvel making the next one in this series (Astonishing X-Men: Dangerous)?How can we beg marvel to make it, anyone know?I was very happy that marvel started with Joss Whedon and John Cassaday's Astonishing run it's my favorite comic. And it is still the only motion comic I've bought (subscribed to). I'd buy sequels to either of the first 2 motion comics on itunes (I watched and enjoyed bendis's Spider-Woman as well). What I see no need to buy are these many re-packagings (an HD version, a DVD, etc.) I'd buy any of these on their own and had the more expensive HD been available to begin with I'd have bought it instead. I hope marvel makes money on the re-packs (and therefore decides to make a sequel), but if their expecting the same people who already bought it on itunes to spend money to buy this I'd be surprised. Also, 'Spawn Guy' I agree I'd have preferred a different cast (including Steve Blum as Logan), but I thought the cast they got did fine. what I'd really like to see is for whedon to direct the motion comic adaptation of his own comicplease make continuations of this motion comic marvel
