Shadowland has risen out of Hell's Kitchen with Daredevil acting as its shogun. This week in DAREDEVIL #509, the Man Without Fear hopes to recruit his friends to his cause, but will they follow him knowing what he's become? Take a stroll down DD memory lane and see some of his greatest team-ups, because there might not be many more in the future.
We all know that crime never sleeps, but did you know it sometimes puts on a show? The Ringmaster looks to pull his most daring heist ever, hypnotizing an entire circus audience and robbing them blind! While the criminal showman's hypnosis hat works wonders on the eyes of his viewers, crowd member Matt Murdock, the sightless vigilante known as Daredevil, remains immune to its effects. But the Ringmaster has managed to mesmerize Spider-Man, and now the astonishing arachnid obeys the conniving carny's every command. Will Daredevil snap Spider-Man back to his senses before he's overcome by the wallcrawler and the Circus of Crime? Read on!
What begins with the overdose and death of a young schoolgirl quickly becomes a convoluted caper involving drug dealers and The Punisher. Matt Murdock walks a fine line as both a vigilante and a lawyer. He and Frank Castle want the same thing: the location of the drug dealers that push to kids, but Matt needs them alive if he wants to put them in jail. Unfortunately, The Punisher has no such qualms. It's the Man Without Fear vs. the Man Without Restraint, and the criminals better pray that they don't get in their way.
A whole new world opened up to young Matt Murdock when a rare radioactive isotope struck him blind. While he lost his vision, the concentrated chemical cocktail enhanced his other four senses to a superhuman degree. With his new-found abilities and his training under the mysterious martial artist known as Stick, Matt sets out to avenge his father's murderers. But then a girl enters his life; a young woman named Elektra, and just like the isotope before her, she changes everything.
It's midday in New York City as a pair of shiny silver legs stomp through the streets, leaving nothing but wreckage in their wake. That can only mean one thing: Stilt Man's back in town! Unfortunately for him, Daredevil and Luke Cage both happen to be passing by, the latter with dinner for his lady in tow. Needless to say the two heroes make short work of the third-string baddie, but before they can say their goodbyes, a huge explosion rocks the city skyline. The horned hellion may have to handle the situation stag because while Luke would love to help out, hell hath no fury like a woman denied her pregnant cravings. Will DD be up to the task?
With Matt Murdock behind bars at Ryker's, awaiting trial for his case of dual identities, "Iron Fist" Danny Rand vaults across the rooftops of Hell's Kitchen, picking up the Man Without Fear's slack. But after a riot at the prison and his subsequent kidnapping by The Punisher, Matt's back on the streets and he wants to find this imposter DD. He's going to need to keep his friends close, his best friends closer, and watch his back, because everyone's gunning for him.
