If you picked up select Marvel comics last week, you got another peek into the ominous Age of X, this time teasing at the fate of one of the most beloved X-Men of all-time: Jean Grey, aka Phoenix.
“When the Phoenix Force found Jean Grey, she was successfully concealing her telepathic and telekinetic abilities from her family, friends and neighbors,” reveals Age of X writer Mike Carey on how life unfolded for this Jean. “But the Phoenix isn't something you can easily hide—or easily assimilate—when you're dealing with it alone, with no guidance or support and no one else to turn to. When Jean lost conscious control of the power that was building inside her, she was in the city of Albany, New York. There no longer is a city of Albany in New York, just a crater, which has been preserved in perpetuity as a monument to the disaster. And for mutantkind, as whole rafts of repressive legislation were passed without opposition, it was a disaster that kept on giving…”

It looks to me that Jean is going to be back. I think she going to be different but the same and we all have to remember that Jean did come back as the White Phoenix. I myself hope that they intertwine this Jean into the main stream story's but not in the Uncanny story but maybe in the Legacy story line.
i hope the same joshtylen ... i expect that jean... would be a new jean, not the same girl of the other realitys. i want to see her in this history like never seen before
I love it there bringing back one of they "GREATEST" hero's of all time... Jean Grey. I love it. This is looking like one of the years best story's to read out of any comic.
can there ever be a uplifting story arc for mutants? hadn't jean grey been through enough? when will mutants ever catch a break? this is depressing.
jean grey and phoenix as 2 different entities is such a b-s. as much as wolverine's bone claws btw...
