While it is true that Ben Reilly turned to goo when the Green Goblin killed him in Spider-Man #75,he disintegrated. Why would Ben disintegrate? He was a succesful clone, not a deteriorating one like Kaine Also, several people have noted that the one who died had different injuries than the one before. So there you have it. A writer could easily state that the Green Goblin had kidnapped Ben ...

Why do they have to pretend he never die? Resurrect him. That goo was his body. He could still have a soul or spirit somewhere that doc strange or someone could retrieve.

Problem is, Ben disolved into clone goo. Gonna be hard to explain how to come back from that one. Unless, they pull the weaksauce off panel swtich just before he bought it back then
