Season 2 of "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes!" kicks off inside the Marvel Universe block on Disney XD at 12:00 p.m. ET on April 1, and to get ready for the action we've got a new trailer for the series plus a run down on last season's exciting climax!

In their most epic challenge to date, the Avengers overcame the Masters of Evil—a team-up of some of their most dangerous enemies who sought to bring down Earth’s Mightiest Heroes—as well as the villainous Loki, intent on conquering Asgard!

While Asgard itself suffered greatly at Loki’s hands, the Asgardians hailed the Avengers as the mightiest heroes in the nine realms. The Avengers returned to Earth, exhausted from their foray to another plane and one member shorter as Thor chose to stay behind to help Asgard rebuild.

One Avenger’s night wasn’t quite over, however. Contemplating the fragments of his shield, shattered by Loki, Cap was taken by surprise as a mirror image of himself stepped out of the shadows and struck him down. Revealing its true nature, the Skrull Captain America had just one thing to say:

“The infilatration has begun…”
