Cyclops, Wolverine, and the rest of the X-Men head to China, hustling to prevent an international incident between some of the country’s highest-ranking military officials and Sublime Pharm Solutions. They get much more than they bargained; enter Xorn, a mutant black hole ready and raring to blow. Amidst the chaos the first flickers of a forbidden flame suddenly take flight between Scott Summers, the stoic leader of Xavier’s X-Men, and Emma Frost, reformed villainess and psychic siren. It all starts here folks!

An angry anti-mutant mob wants to burn the Salem Center X-Corp building to the ground, with Emma Frost, the Stepford Cuckoos and a group of scared young mutants still stuck inside. Cyclops and Beast show up in the nick of time to save the day, but not before the crazed crowd kills one of the children. Now Scott has a choice to make: close the Xavier Institute, or rebuild like Emma wants and give every kid with an X-gene a fighting chance?
