"Marvel: Avengers Alliance," the hit Facebook game, now features a special operations chapter based on the blockbuster Avengers vs. X-Men comic book event. Additionally, Marvel is also unveiling Jean Grey as a member of the "Marvel: Avengers Alliance" "Phoenix Five."
While Jean may be gone within the comic book universe, in the Marvel Gaming Universe she is alive and well receiving a fifth of the Phoenix power. Jean has her own never-before-seen "Phoenix Five" costume and joins the cast of previously announced heroes consisting of Cyclops, Colossus, Emma Frost, and Magik.

Each "Phoenix Five" costume has an exclusive passive ability not available with any other costume for that Hero. Magik, for example, has a chance to give her allies "Fiery Retribution," which allows the effected ally to deal additional fire damage to enemies. Magik herself has expected hellish abilities such as a chance of summoning demons to assist her in battle or brandishing the "Soulsword" for damage against both corporeal and incorporeal beings, as well as her classic mutant gift to teleport through Limbo via her "stepping discs."
For the very first time, "Marvel: Avengers Alliance" players will also venture beyond New York to explore well-known San Francisco locations like the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz featuring classic Marvel locations such as Utopia--the island home of the X-Men--and the Dreaming Celestial.
