The newest Marvel Minimates release from Diamond Select Toys focuses on the history of violent struggles between the X-Men and the Brood. Available now are four comic-based two-packs designed by Art Asylum: Rogue with Colossus, Longshot with Dazzler, Wolverine with a Brood, and a special variant with Wolverine infected by a Brood egg! Each Minimate stands two inches tall with 14 points of articulation and a variety of removable and interchangeable parts and accessories.
The Brood are a vicious alien race with a hive mentality, which have tormented the X-Men since their first appearance in UNCANNY X-MEN #155. These versions of Rogue, Colossus, Longshot, Dazzler, and Wolverine were all major players in Chris Claremont’s second major Brood story arc, which started with UNCANNY X-MEN #232, when Wolverine himself was almost transformed into one of the alien critters!
