Ghost Rider rode circles around it's competition yet again this weekend, keeping the heat on to maintain its No. 1 position at the box office for the second consecutive week.
According to Variety, the movie took in an additional $19.7 million this past weekend, bringing the total gross to over $79 million.
Box Office Mojo lists Ghost Rider as the highest grossing movie so far in 2007. Will Ghost Rider be on top for a third week? Could it possibly even be the highest grossing comic book-based movie this year? Time will tell. We'll just have to wait to see what happens when Spider-Man 3 and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer rocket onto the sliver screen in the coming months.
