French superstar writer, Denis Bajram, delivers a story of cosmic proportions in the sci-fi epic that took Europe by storm--UNIVERSAL WAR ONE #1 (of 3)! Paul Benjamin (MARVEL ADVENTURES HULK) adapts this international best-seller, as, nearly 100 years in the future, the many planets of the solar system find themselves caught in the middle of a civil war. In the midst of everything a gigantic black wall separates the solar system in two, absorbing all light and matter! The universe's last hope is a band of soldiers facing court martial. They are the men and women of the Purgatory Squadron! Their mission: investigate the mysterious black wall, save the universe, and try not to die in the process!
UNIVERSAL WAR ONE #1, one of the first of many books Marvel is proud to publish in collaboration with acclaimed French comic publisher Soleil. Marvel President of Publishing, Dan Buckley, states, "Marvel's proud to bring Soleil's innovative stories to new audiences. These books represent some of the world's top talent telling cutting-edge stories in a variety of genres, demonstrating the power of the comic medium."
With all of the releases from Marvel/Soleil sold out at Diamond thus far, retailers are urged to check their orders on Universal War One and other upcoming Soleil releases. What is the black wall? For what reasons are the members of the Purgatory Squadron being court marshaled? Will they be able to work together as a team and save the day? Find out the answers to these questions and prepare yourself for the space epic of the century in UNIVERSAL WAR ONE #1!

Seems interesting. I'll definitely be picking this up.
This story is too good. In my opinion it rivals the Sci/fi chops of Dune and Blade Runner and the like. Revelations has been amazing and in between Revelations 2 and 3 I have reread my HC (#1-3) and my Revelations 1 and 2 a couple of times. Denis Bajram is amazing check out his website! It would be nice if I could time travel to June 3rd to get the final installment. Or maybe I could learn ...

Then I would still be in cryo when the Earth really does get cut in half!

:e57500c991="Adrien.B"]I am a french reader of comics. And I think that this initiative of Marvel is excellent. In France, we have a lot of different styles of comics : Comics (USA & UK comics) not as much as the U.S. of course, Manga (Japan), Bande Dessinée or BD (french and belgium graphic novels).I am not self-centered but I'm glad that french comics other than Asterix and Tintin (do you know ?) will be translated into English.I strongly advise you Universal War One which is one of the best SF comics I have read so far. Fan of stories of spatiotemporal travels, you'll be served. Bought this when it will be published by Marvel.PS: sorry for my english[/quote:e57500c991]I'm also a french reader, and, as I was wandering the US version of Google, I got the idea of looking at what could be found on it about Universal War One... That's how I found out that Marvel had bought the rights on it, and had already published the first three books. As I discovered UW1 the last fall, and got it for Christmas, I wanted to tell you, english-speakers, what I do think about it, now I'm done with it...So be aware that I WILL NOT TELL YOU ANYTHING ABOUT ITS END.That is saidFirst, I want you to know how much I envy you : you still ignore the final end of all of this... It reminds me how innocent I was when I first read it.So prepare yourselves to the most amazing things you may imagine, but it will never be enough, I'll bet itI'd also like to make my own review of this three books... If you did not read them yet, please, and FOR YOUR OWN GOOD, do not read what follows, it could spoil everythingThe first book, when I read it, proved to be a bit "boring", redundant, and intending to explain too clearly what it was about (with dialogs just "put" there to expose all stuffs and characters). I know now that it was part of the plan of Denis Bajram. He planned everything from the beginning, so he knew exactly where he was going, and those explanations are COMPULSORY to understand his masterpiece...And when I read it again today, I find out things which are related to next books and their events..The second book is really the beginning of action, and contains lots of things which make the story move forward. It is absolutely AMAZINGThe third book i kind of a "piece of rest", a "moment of peace" before the storm of the last three books takes place...What else to say, except for my strong advice to you to read this masterpiece, if ever Marvel releases the last issues... I promess you will not be disappointed..Erynisos[u:e57500c991]PS [/u:e57500c991]: I also hope you will understand my english[u:e57500c991]PPS[/u:e57500c991]: if I did not got into too much details for books #2 and #3, it's because I'm not sure whether Marvel had released them or not. I'm not sure of my understanding of articles, and I couldn't make clear to me if they only published the first, the three first, or a single book containing the three first

Marvel, please get us English readers #4-6! I'd also like to see a possible "real-time" collaboration on translation to get Universal War Two.
You cannot stop this arc in the middle like this. In the last 3 issues we will get the back-stories for the last of the Purgatory squadron members and I want the last of their scripture that appears in each chapter. Please bring us the last 3 issues.
