The world knows WWE Superstar Mr. Kennedy as the loudmouth from Green Bay, Wisc. But after Kennedy wrestled an original sketch from ULTIMATE X-MEN artist Mark Brooks at San Diego Comic-Con International, the grappler's gained something to truly boast about in the Marvel Universe.
Promoting his upcoming DVD release from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and WWE Studios, "Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia," Kennedy was among a slew of celebrities at the pop culture paradise in San Diego. In between inking autographs and meeting hordes of costumed fans for a weeklong WWE.com video series, Kennedy came, saw and conquered at the Marvel booth. It was there at the San Diego Comic-Con that the fanboy dream of a WWE/Marvel encounter was instantly realized.
Kennedy pushed past a line of most devout Marvelites to meet Brooks and
finagle his very own sketch from the acclaimed House of Ideas artist. On the spot, SmackDown's outspoken Superstar went from ring giant to comic hero.
