Each week we highlight a classic storyline told in full inside Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited, the greatest collection of Marvel comics available online! This week we revisit GLA: MISASSEMBLED!
It's everyone's favorite super team to the rescue!
What, not a Great Lakes Avengers fan? Can't name a single member? Yeah, they know. That's exactly why they're trying their darndest to prove to the world—and to themselves—that they have what it takes to wear the spandex proudly. But that's tough enough to accomplish when you're the GLA at full strength and near impossible when team members seem to kick the bucket every day.
With a self-deprecating sense of humor and utterly ridiculous members, this limited series from writer Dan Slott (AMAZING SPIDER-MAN) and artist Paul Pelletier (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY) just wants to goof off and have some fun. But don't mistake this as some throw-a-way book—through all their bumbling, the GLA somehow end up with the fate of existence sitting squarely on their shoulders. And if that sort of whirlwind adventure doesn't get you going, underneath all of their preposterous antics the team members offer some pretty compelling human drama.
