A mysterious and disturbing broadcast interrupts telephone and television signals worldwide: the sounds and images of an entire planet dying. While Nick Fury and the Ultimates rush to find the source of the broadcasts, Professor Xavier and Jean Grey both have a dream with a strikingly similar subject. Assuming that a shared psychic experience must mean that a new mutant has surfaced the Professor sends Jean, Colossus, and Wolverine to find this person in the wilds of Russia.
The first part of the "Ultimate Galactus Trilogy," ULTIMATE NIGHTMARE pits X-Man against Ultimate as the two teams race through the wilds of Russia and an abandoned Soviet Installation to find the one source of both the broadcast and psychic signals. When they reach their destination they find more obstacles and a bigger threat than anyone could imagine!
