"My CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE CHOSEN [limited series with writer David Morrell] will always be one of the bright spots of my career. Not only did I finally feel at home illustrating one of America's most beloved super heroes, but I also finally found my voice as a storyteller with this issue. THE CHOSEN was my coming of age book as an artist, and In many ways, it has made Cap a part of me much like he was a part of the Corporal Newman character that inhabited the pages of THE CHOSEN.
"There was just something about the epic swings in this book that made it so enjoyable. From It's sentimental flashbacks to Cap's past, to it's intense scenes of war torn Afghanistan, or it's forlorn reminders of a hero that is no longer with us, THE CHOSEN was orchestral in its pacing.
