  • Target Australia (275 stores) is a mid-level retailer picking up Marvel Comic/Retro men's range with huge units dropping 2008 and reorders scheduled for 2009. Target plans to support Marvel with POS header cards! New retail distribution channels:
  • Jay Jay's (270 stores), a youth fashion specialty retailer, and Marvel Comics/Retro smashed in-store with 80% sell thru in 4 weeks of 2 tees from Designworks. Marvel is currently working with Jay Jay's to develop a Wolverine event for 2009 with window displays, catalogue support and really great units across apparel and accessories.
  • Dangerfield (40 stores) is a specialty retailer much like Hot Topic in the US and will be launching a range of Marvel Vintage, Marvel Comic/Retro and Marvel Extreme apparel, bags and accessories in December!
  • Aussies will now have their favorite Marvel Heroes on stamps, available in over 4,000 Australia Post outlets! Asia
  • The Amazing Spider-Man was chosen to be the theme of this years Shanghai Animation Fair.
  • Spider-Man images were seen in the Fair's signages, posters, leaflets, tickets and newspaper ads. Also, a Spider-Man meet and greet was held during the fair.
  • This event was good exposure as we are targeting Marvel to be a classic brand in China. A number of press people from TV, print and radio went to cover the event.
  • An estimated 20,000 people went to the 5-day fair, and 3,000 kids attended the Spider-Man meet and greet. Turkey
  • Cimpa Spider-Man range launched at Debenhams in Istanbul. These Spider-Man POPs have lightning eyes reflecting the Spider Sense concept and has gained much attention. France & Belgium
  • Quick, a QSR chain, is running a promotion in France and Belgium with Iron-Man DVD release in their restaurants on the meal menu targeting kids from 8 to 12 years old. Latin America
  • Kraft launched a promotional campaign with Tang & Marvel Heroes in Central America, The Caribbean and Peru.
  • The promotion contained 1 album + collectible stickers and was supported by a great TV commercial!
  • Leading milk company in the region - Gloria- launched a promotional campaign with Incredible Hulk in April 2008 for its products Milk and Cocoa drink dessert with stickers as premiums. A strong character for a strong product. The promotion was supported by a TV commercial.
  • Mc. Dougal cereal from Kellogg´s Ecuador launched a successful promotional campaign with Iron Man. The premiums distributed were collectible cards and the promotion was supported with a TV commercial.
