The Digital Media Group announced the launch of its first-ever, all-original, in continuity Motion Comic, SPIDER-WOMAN. The teaser trailer for this entirely new method of graphic storytelling was revealed at the "Digital Comics and Beyond" panel at New York Comic Con on February 7.
Super hot scribe, Brian Michael Bendis, writer of the SPIDER-WOMAN motion comic, along with artist Alex Maleev and Marvel Editor-in-Chief, Joe Quesada, were on hand to present the trailer and introduce the concept of Marvel Motion Comics.
SPIDER-WOMAN Motion Comics will run 8-10 minutes in length and be available for a suggested retail price of $0.99 per episode on iTunes beginning May 1, 2009.
The acclaimed ASTONISHING X-MEN series, written by Joss Whedon and drawn by John Cassaday, will be the second installment in the Motion Comic series. A release date will be announced shortly.
