Since DOCTOR MANYAC [Marvel Mystery Comics#4(2/1940)] was a CHEMIST perhaps Tom DeFalco could have had him kidnap PROFESSOR ALBERT HORTON too.He could have revealed the ORIGINAL GREEN FLAMES were ANDROIDS[ http://www.marvel.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=154523 ] and that he forced PROFESSOR HORTON to give the GREEN FLAMES superpowers.PROFESSOR PHILO ZOG can still be forced to create ...

I wouldn't write-off DOCTOR MANYAC and HERR GAUFMAN because both the THINKER and PUPPET MASTER survived an explosion in FANTASTIC FOUR#100(7/1970). I wonder if DOCTOR MANYAC's GREEN FLAMES are a product of ALCHEMY rather than CHEMISTRY?

In this issue Tom DeFalco claimed the Golden Age ANGEL had no super powers and yet on page 20 panel 6 he had the ANGEL throw a man 10 or 15 or 20 feet up into the air( I watch enough CSI to know that is impossible without SUPER-STRENGTH ).Plus the GOLDEN AGE 2004 HANDBOOK says the ANGEL has demonstrated SUPER-STRENGTH on more than one occasion. So perhaps the ANGEL's mutation( he has slowed ...

Yes and finally. After 3 strikes( Captain America Comics#1,Sub-Mariner Comics#1 and Human Torch Comics#1) I finally get a home run.I knew Tom DeFalco wouldn't let me down, just like I knew J.J. Abrams wouldn't let me down on the new Star Trek movie. What I would have done different is that I would have used the ORIGINAL GREEN FLAMES seen in the MARVEL MYSTERY COMICS#4(2/1940) reprint seen in ...

What I would have done different is that I would have used the ORIGINAL GREEN FLAMES seen in the MARVEL MYSTERY COMICS#4(2/1940) reprint seen in this issue. There were 5 GREEN FLAMES seen---one killed by the TORCH on page 3;4 GREEN FLAMES seen on Page 7 panel 7 but only 3 GREEN FLAMES seen in the final battle on Page 8 panels 4 to 6.I would reveal that the MISSING GREEN FLAME is the younger TORO AGE brother of one of the later 3 GREEN FLAMES and I would have the 2 BROTHERS MUTATE into GREEN FLAME versions on the HUMAN TORCH AND TORO.A 3rd GREEN FLAME I would give a version of the RED BLAZE's powers[ http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/r/redblaze.htm ].The 4th GREEN FLAME I would give a version of INFERNO's powers[ http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/g/gainfern.htm ].The 5th GREEN FLAME I would resurrect and give him a version of VULCAN's powers[ http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/g/gavulcan.htm ]. But otherwise I enjoyed this book a great deal.I even figured out that TOM chose to create ROBOT GREEN FLAMES as a nod and a wink to the ORIGINAL HUMAN TORCH being an ANDROID[ http://www.marvel.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=152913 ].
