We never got to see her use her other powers( sure she used her Super-Intelligence in a limited way ) but what about her X-Ray Vision? She could have melted the chains using Hard X-Rays.
I was disappointed that MISS AMERICA's strength of 1,000 men[ http://www.geocities.com/jjnevins/missamerica.html ]wasn't shown. She has the same strength level as the 18 year old SUB-MARINER[ Motion Picture Funnies Weekly#1(1939)/Marvel Comics#1(11/1939)] and the BLUE BLAZE[ http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix4/blueblazemc.htm ] and yet both MISS AMERICA and the BLUE DIAMOND didn't do anything ...

Plus that chain that held her must have been made of OMNIUM STEEL[ Marvel Two-In-One#53(7/1979) page 31( Project:Pegasus diagram )][X-Men vol.1#139(11/1980)page 5 panel 3] and could be the New Battleship Armour that Mr.Crandall created in MARVEX THE SUPER-ROBOT's first appearance[Daring Mystery Comics#3(4/1940)].

Jen Van Meter could have used some of these TIMELY COMICS villains instead of BRAIN DRAIN:the HEAD[ http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix4/headygall.htm ],the MAD MECHANIC[ http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix4/madmechanicya.htm ].
I like the tribute to ROSIE THE RIVETER[ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosie_the_Riveter ] in this issue.
After 3 strikes( Captain America Comics#1,Sub-Mariner Comics#1,Human Torch Comics#1 ) I get 2 back to back home runs( MARVEL MYSTERY COMICS 70th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL#1 and MISS AMERICA COMICS 70th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL#1.I enjoyed both the story and the art.I like that Golden Age characters the WHIZZER,BLUE DIAMOND and JAMES BENNETT( Miss America's uncle ) were in this book. As much as I liked the UBERMADCHEN( Madame Mauzer,Vichy ,Axis Annie, fraulein Fatale and Penny Panzer ) I just wish they had been authentic GOLDEN AGE VILLAINS:THEA SHILHAUSEN/L-5[Red Raven Comics#1(8/1940)Mercury story],INGA VON LECHE[All-Winners Comics#5(sum/1942)Destroyer story],DOLORES MADRIGO[USA Comics#4(5/1942)Captain Terror story],MARIA[USA Comics#3(3/1942)Captain Terror story],DAME KACKLE[USA Comics#1(8/1941)Defender story],ELSA/MISTRESS OF DEATH[Captain America Comics#41(8/1944)Human Torch story],COUNTESS MARA(Nightmare in Old Norse,Old High German )[Captain America Comics#10(1/1942)Captain America story],BARONESS ELSA VON KAMPF( battle in German )[Miss Fury Comics#6(win/1944-1945),7(fall/1945)],RUBY YEN[marvel Mystery Comics347(9/1943)Terry Vance story],MADAME CHIANG[Marvel Mystery Comics#55(5/1944)Patriot story],MADAM SATAN[All-Winners Comics#8(spr/1943)Destroyer story---a demoness of SATAN,ally of Nazis],and MATILDA( Mighty Battle Maiden in Germanic )[Marvel Mystery Comics#34(8/1942)Jimmy Jupiter story---she can take WARRIOR WOMAN's place].These are just the ones I know about.Plus this cover villain[ http://www.atlastales.com/sI/2984 ] can be the new MADAME MYSTERY( one of Warrior Woman's aliases )---this name is also the name of a real Golden Age Comic book villain[ Prize Comics#9(2/1941)]. Some of these women could be identified as the UBERMADCHEN and there maybe some unnamed Axis women in TIMELY COMICS( or on the covers ) who could also be them.
