Weird to hear complaints about silvestri's art I thought all the complaints would be about the random price hike on uncanny x-men for this crossover dispite the fact that the book has not changed and offers no additional material, only more people will be buying it. If I wasn't subscribed I know I'd just be trade waiting this one

I hope no one read any dislike of Silvestri in what I was saying, 'cause I too like his art and would more likely buy [i:f9708d5049]because[/i:f9708d5049] of it, if anything. Although I am all about stories being quality, I cannot stand or condone poor art, and his certainly is not. I love his kinetic feel, motion and poses AND would take it over certain artists' limited reference drawings any day (c'mon, too many unfitting smiling/laughing/screaming faces, Mr. You-know-who-u-are, lol), I just recognize it for what it is though, but I'm happy for his signature art.As for Marvel Boy, I just recognize where they went wrong with the character to be that out of all the characters imitating/replacing actual heroes that still exist and operate, they mis-stepped - where he was the only one to get endorsement to carry on the hero's name by (the closest thing to the actual, but Skrull) Captain Marvel, was called Captain Marvel at the press conference, AND had a nice little grudging acceptance by Ms. Marvel when in her series she ended up with the feeling he wasn't actually a bad guy despite being on Osborn's team (nice little story connections potential they had that is probably going to be lost) - yet he gets no re-imagining to go from D-list to maybe B.I wouldn't even be surprised if (based only on cover, but possible as a consequence of being the 'good' guy in a team of killers, villains and psychopaths) he gets killed by one of them as collateral (sadly, but again only based on covers, the perpetrator would be the least villainous, but most dangerous when 'villainous,' Sentry - in Void form) right after Karla's throwaway comment to him about the team being all villains. Wouldn't be surprised at all, but I'd much prefer that it'd be the start of the internal aspect of one of the chosen on the team being part of the effort to take it down :f9708d5049 Show (Spidey not qualifying as such)[/spoiler:f9708d5049] - heck, the now speculation heavy 'Target lost' screen on the promo Iron Patriot Acts could actually be Marvel Boy if he ends up hunted because of a falling out with the team in upcoming issues. Both that and/or his death might be an explanation for why he isn't seen in these previews;of course, these are but a few pages.

I think Silvestri is a great artist and judging by the preview, this should be a great read...i have been looking forward to Utopia!In regards to Captain Marvel, I think he's a great character and I actually like him on the team...because he actually started off as a villain and even went up against the Young Avengers at one point. Now granted, he's not the all-powerful Cosmic hero we all ...

To me this is true art, how he can make a drawing come alive, have momentum and character from as few pen strokes as possible. Zen in comics you know, and it makes for a fresh, stylish and artistic look.Perhaps it's an acquired taste and certainly there will be some that have other preferences.
